Personal Statement from the Artist:

Painting is therapy for me. Having been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 1995, and having undergone several surgeries, holding a paintbrush, palette knife or pastel stick in my fingers transforms me into an intensely-focused problem solver. I am challenged to convey three dimensions onto a two dimensional surface. While this is a powerful objective, it's also the best medicine for combatting daily pain.
