With a rich history dating back to 1896, Aronimink acquired 300 acres in 1926 and planned to make its third and final move west of its original location. Aronimink commissioned Donald Ross to design a course of the same prestige as its architect.

In May of 2026, Aronimink will be hosting its second PGA Championship. The first was in 1962 when Gary Player claimed his first PGA Championship title.
