Made by BackWoods Blacksmithing. From the bladesmith, "when I was stationed in Mauritania. I was given several gifts from a local tribe, two of which were handmade knives crafted by the chieftains son. The knives had a beauty to them that is hard to explain, imperfect creations certainly, but made with primitive tools and a fine attention to detail. I decided then that I wanted to make knives."
The knife is 440C stainless steel. It boasts ".. the greatest quenched hardness and wear resistance upon heat treatment of any corrosion-resistant or heat resistant steel." The handle is African Ebony as a small tribute to the original inspiration. The handle has been meticulously ground for an ambidextrous grip, set with copper pins, then polished to roughly 2000 grit by hand for that soft and sleek appearance.
Leatherwork was crafted by Deaton Chaps and the engraving by O'shea's Aqua Dipp.
