Requested by: Mrs. Sharon Tomski
Quantity Requested: 12
This meter can measure forces from 0.01N to 20N and would be used in multiple labs involving forces, such as Newton's Laws and vector addition.
This is an expandable system that would be used for multiple labs and hands-on interactive investigations in Physics. Topics investigated using this system include: velocity, acceleration, Newton's laws, forces, collisions, and the conservation of momentum and energy.
Students will be able to demonstrate numerous physics principles such as Newton's 1st Law (the Law of Inertia), Conservation of Momentum, the effect of Friction, and Centripetal Motion. Using hands-on labs helps the students apply and remember these concepts.
Quantity Requested: 8
Investigations into how initial velocity and angle affect distance for two-dimensional motion. It is also used as a summative lab experience for students to calculate an angle required to reach a target and then test the results.
