Hollis picked this one out as his favorite while he was clipping. He mentioned something about her hind leg being incredible. When I look at this Waverly daughter I see an extended heifer with and impeccable silhouette. Waverly has set the fall on fire with her first litter for Deana Jak and this small test is a very good indicator that Waverly will be a mainstay in the donor pen. She cost 56k and generated somewhere around 100k from her first set of ET calves out east. ROI is high.

Don't miss lot 6. She's an older heifer that I think has what it takes to be that heifer standing out on side profile in the center of the ring as the judge talks about his class winner at junior nationals. If you haven't been to jr nationals then its hard to explain how hard it is to win a class but this heifer is very good. Out of the Waverly donor and i think she's better than her mother. My ole buddy Ethan has sold some full sibs pretty high already this fall but I'm not sure that this heifer might be the best one to sell yet.

If you give me a call and ask about this one I'll shoot it straight just like I do here. This one isn't at the top of the list as she's not quite as fluid and relaxed in her movement. Does she have a place? Absolutely-if you've got a young exhibitor that needs a nice project to get started at a lower price point than I think this heifer fits the ticket. If you would like to dominate your state fair or win a couple jackpots there are better options. She is long sided, long necked and soft haired. A "Spitfire" daughter. Spitfire was shown by hollis a few years ago and she was considered by many to be the best one in the state. She was wild and it took Hollis a few months to get her broke and about 6 months to be able to take her to a show. She was sick as a calf, was tackled off a quad and shot with a dart gun. She had good reason to not like people but her daughter lot 9 is a special animal. She's easy fleshing, bold and round in her rib cage. Has added mass, width and power when you get behind her and has all the eye appeal and balance to be competitive at the highest level.

I'll be honest- Lot 10 confuses me a bit. She's a bit harder to read in terms of just how good she can be. She came in sooooo skinny and she's still behind but every. Single. Day. She gets better. If she keeps changing like she has the last 10 days there is potential that she thumps on all the rest of them in a couple months. Love the look this one will give a guy from the side. She's soft haired, big boned and has the right body shape. She's so lean that it gets a bit confusing when you get behind her because she's so wide up high but tracks a bit narrow because of how lean she is. Once she puts on the weight and stoutens up I think that base width will come. I like her a lot and would recommend her to anyone. Needs some time and you'll be thanking me later.

Lot 12- When this one was weaned I thought to myself we have got to keep this one. Then I woke up and remembered we are selling all the good ones- She isn't the most ready right now as she's still gaining steam but holy smokes she is fun to analyze. I love to watch this heifer motor around. She pushes and drives off her back two with confidence and power. Deb Bacon bought 1/2 of her mother a few years ago for a substantial amount of money on this sale. There were two calves born here a heifer and a bull. Debbie when you read this be confident in your purchase as this creature is incredible! The bull is very good and I think Bacons will be taking him home for a herd bull but she might part ways with him if someone is looking to add some look to their cow herd.

Tricked out show pony. Blume family showed a heifer a handful of years ago that was sooooooo good. Peskey's bought some eggs, I went to look and here she is. Blume should maybe buy this one back, have one of his kids show her and promote his donor cow but if he doesn't someone is really going to be happy with this heifer. She's a ground sow and will be a cheap one to feed. She's a good converter and needs to be slowed down after the sale and just let her grow for awhile.
