Eric & Amanda Elrod

 

Eric and Amanda Elrod, married for 23 years, met while attending Adairsville High School and graduated together in 1997. Lifelong members of the Bartow County Schools community, they are now in their 23rd year in public education. Amanda, raised in Rydal and a Pine Log Elementary alum, is the principal of White Elementary. She previously served 19 years as a teacher and assistant principal at Euharlee Elementary. Eric, who grew up in Kingston and attended Kingston Elementary, is in his 8th year as assistant principal at Adairsville Middle. He has also worked as a teacher and coach at Adairsville High and Cass Middle.For the past nine years, Eric has served as Pastor at Pleasant Olive Baptist Church in Rydal, where Amanda supports his ministry. They have two children: Easton (19), a UGA freshman studying Civil Engineering, and Jacksyn (16), a junior at Adairsville High who participates in competition cheer and soccer. The family also has a golden retriever, Trip (5), who enjoys long walks. Proud to call Bartow County home, Eric and Amanda are committed to serving the youth and community that shaped them. They are honored to participate in this outreach event-even if it means embarrassing themselves on the dance floor.
