Your gift of $50 provides gas cards for a family traveling long distances for treatment.
Many families must travel long distances to reach their child's appointments, and the expense can be an extra burden. CURE seeks to ease that through our transportation assistance program.
Your gift of $100 covers a night's lodging for families who must travel for their child's treatments.
Appointments are often scheduled early in the morning, and it is difficult for families who must travel long distances to arrive on time. By paying for a night of lodging, parents can arrive the night before and be nearby for early appointments.
Your gift of $200 provides a meal for 30 hospitalized children and their families.
For parents of hospitalized children, meals can be hard to come by, and the added expense, especially during lengthy stays, can be significant. CURE's Open Arms Meals Program delivers fresh meals to patients and their families in the hospital 3-4 times a week. We also provide snack bags, cereals, and soups that parents can keep on hand.
Your gift of $500 pays for two families to attend a bereavement event, which is a lifeline for many.
After losing a child to cancer, it is difficult to put one foot in front of the other, so CURE walks alongside these families with grief support when the unthinkable happens. CURE hosts two retreats each year for grieving parents, offering tools, support, and connections to help them cope with their grief.
Your gift of $1,000 covers the cost of 30 resource totes for families at diagnosis.
Through our Early Outreach Program, we aim to connect with families at or near diagnosis to let them know they are not alone and to connect them with essential resources. These comforting tote bags provide useful items, including a tip booklet written by parents of children who have fought cancer.
