"Natsukashii" is a Japanese word that embodies the feeling of evoking an unexpected memory that brings a
feeling of happiness. Mark will photograph an object that is meaningful to you and present that artwork to
you and your spouse at his Los Angeles studio where you will select your introductory gift of a 7.5x7.5 fine
art, with the option to enhance your order with $1,000 credit towards artwork for the walls of your home or office.

Restrictions:
Both spouses must be present for the in person order appointment. A refundable deposit may be required.

Artist bio
I am a graduate of Cal State University Long Beach, with a BFA in Ceramics and a BA in Art Education. To have a career that highlights both these skills is such a joy! I love how teaching requires one to constantly grow and learn in order to meet the interests and needs of students. Because of this, I am continually learning more about artists, art making and everything in between which feeds my curiosity and artistic practice.

I am enchanted by the tactile relationship and physical interactions we have with functional objects. I am drawn to mugs in particular because they ask to be held, cradled, and can become part of our daily rituals.

To make these forms, I wheel throw and then slice, stretch and alter the clay to capture the malleability and softness of clay that is often lost after it's fired. The exterior of these pieces are left unglazed both to highlight the natural colors of the clay bodies and to introduce a more tactile stone-like quality that engages your senses and brings attention and mindfulness to that moment in your day.

In addition to the main house three bedrooms, the bunkhouse provides 3 bunkbeds, each with a twin over a full-size bed allowing for additional sleeping options. Please note that the bunkhouse does not have direct access inside the house and therefore no attached bathroom.

Wireless internet access is provided throughout the home with new large screen TV's in the living room, bunkhouse and main floor master bedroom. All beach, bed and bath linens included.

The home has air conditioning and heating with the exception of the bunkhouse.

The access to the private beach is currently through the public landing down the main road past two other homes.
