Healing Hearts Through The Arts

Healing Hearts Through the Arts is a bilingual performance that celebrates the talent, spirit, and resilience of the women of Josephine's Place. It is inspired by our music therapy support group led by Maria Politano, a licensed music therapist. Each time the group meets they engage in song, spoken word, the playing of instruments, and dance as part of a healing process for the personal struggles and challenges the women face.

Healing Hearts Through the Arts is a celebration and a sharing of that process with the wider community and is intended to serve as a symbol of the inherent strength and determination of the women of Josephine's Place. This program is made possible in part by a 2024 HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) grant from the Union County Board of County Commissioners.
