One of the best-collected female artists in the South and a growing force on the national stage, Maggie Hasbrouck has been living and working as an artist in Atlanta for over thirty years. She was first represented by the iconic Fay Gold Gallery, and later, The Bill Lowe Gallery (now Johnson Lowe Gallery).

She began receiving major national acclaim in the early 1990s when her work was collected by celebrities including Elton John, John Mellencamp, Faith Hill, Jon Bon Jovi, and Courtney Cox. Her haunting photo-encaustic works are included in several prominent private collections, as well as a broad cross-section of collections across the United States. Her work is the epitome of the intersection of classical beauty and contemporary concept.

Hasbrouck earned her bachelors degree in Fine Art from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico and her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign, Illinois. She has been an art and photography instructor at the Atlanta College of Art, the Southeastern Center for the Arts in Atlanta, and Illinois State University.

In her latest body of work, Hasbrouck returns to dramatic depictions of flowers - often single blooms - at the apex of their transformational beauty. The vibrancy and sensuality of these images is heightened by the artist's recent incorporation of glass crystals into her technique. Hasbrouck melts these crystals over multiple layers of oil paint, dry pigment, and organic beeswax, resulting in a lustrous layer that enhances the mystery of the work.

As an artist I focus on creating work that calls attention to the environment and our responsibilities to take care of it. We all need an occasional reminder to motivate us to treat Mother Earth with dignity and respect.

Many ask where I get my material. I find it on the street, in my trash and recycle bin, materials like aluminum cans, old CDs, egg cartons, food wrappers, drink containers, to-go packaging, mailers, cardboard and other post-consumer waste.

I find my motivation as an artist in converting trash and recycling into art and consciously strive to improve my work and the environment at the same time.

My goal is to produce images that inspire, remind and motivate each of us to do our part in taking care of our world. I hope my work makes viewers smile and appreciate the world we live in.

Kathy Rennell Forbes is an accomplished artist and instructor. Her impressionistic paintings are in
private and corporate collections around the world.
The artist was a 2017 Olmsted Plein Air Invitational "Master Artist." She was an invited artist to the
Olmsted Georgia Color five times (2019 - 2024). Kathy is a Signature Member and past President of
the Georgia Watercolor Society. She participates in many solo and group shows; and has won
awards in local, regional and national exhibits. Forbes earned her BFA in Art and Art Education at
the University of Georgia in Athens. She continues to attend art workshops with many of the
leading painters of today.
Kathy has exhibited and conducted watercolor demonstrations at the High Museum of Art, Booth
Western Art Museum and Oglethorpe University Museum of Art. She conducts watercolor
workshops around the U.S. and Internationally (Cuba, France, Italy, Spain) and teaches art classes in
the Atlanta area. Forbes creates her artwork in plein air at her studio in Atlanta's historic Westside
Arts District.

Artist Statement
I work in watercolor, acrylic and oil; my favorite is watercolor. I love the freedom this medium
provides and how the paints react to different surfaces and the way I manipulate my brush. The
medium is very transportable. It allows me to travel with a minimum of supplies across the
globe, to a local park or garden to paint outdoors. Working in nature, heightens all my senses
that then take hold in my paintings. In addition to the beautiful landscape in front of me; I like
to capture the sound of the birds and insects chirping, the soft breeze on the back of my neck,
the smell of the saltwater and the taste of local foods into my paintings. Although some of my
outdoor paintings are finished works, many are studies. I take the information I gathered onsite
and incorporate them into my studio paintings.

Some of her favorite places are big mountains, breezy beaches, and dense forests. Her business name "Between the Evergreens" was inspired by the John Muir quote "between every two pines there is a doorway to a new world." For me, the creative process is an emotional, spontaneous, and multidimensional
journey. It has complexities and obstacles, triumphs and surprises. Inspiration
for my work comes from color, geometry, composition, texture, and the painting
process itself. There is joyous energy and grounding that comes from the
technique itself, the repeated, methodical or haphazard application of materials
by brushes, fingers, palette knives, rags, and scrapers of all shapes and sizes.

My most recent work has evolved from a long foundation in contemporary
landscapes to the abstract. Abstracts are addictive. Their beginning and ending is
spontaneous, unpredictable, and liberating. Abstracts engage the viewer and
create a visual dialog to interpret, question, or simply enjoy. The diversity of those

Marc James Villanueva ("MJ") is a painter of contemporary mixed-media and representational abstract works on canvas and wood panel. His compositions are a fusion of color, texture and movement achieved through the application of oil/acrylic paints, crushed Pau'a seashell, recycled glass, marble dust, copper, paper and Lauhala, indigenous Hawaiian fiber.

The colorful, soothing images reveal themselves through the artist's exploration of media and technique. Ice & Heat-fusion methods are used to create highly textured, luminescent and multi-dimensional masterpieces.

The Aquatic world and Spatial universe are his inspiration encompassing his native Hawai'i.

MJ Villanueva was educated at the University of Hawai'i, receiving degrees in Education and Culinary Arts. His training in food preparation taught him the importance of color and texture, as evidenced in the delicious quality of his artwork.

Marc James Villanueva's work is characterized by the harnessing of images and shapes that emerge during the process of painting and by his attempt to transfer pure emotion directly onto the canvas. His work finds favor with many because of the range in styles and techniques he employs This variation is evident from his quiescent rectangles and simple reeds to his spirited sea jellies and multifaceted geodes.

Michael Banks was born in 1972 and was raised by his mother in a housing project in north Alabama. He graduated from high school and was a star athlete. As a child Michael loved to draw and paint and create from whatever materials he could find. His mother encouraged him and he continued to create until November 1992, when his mother died. In his grief, Michael's desire for making art left him. He fell into a great depression and stopped painting.

For five years Michael's life took many different turns during his struggle with depression and alcohol addiction. Finally, in 1997, he recalled the hope and encouragement that his mother had given him and he began to paint again. Since then he has experimented with various techniques combining both found objects, building materials as well as artists' materials. He developed a style using roofing tar as an undercoating on wood with artist's paint incising subtle nuances.

While painting Michael is totally absorbed in his work, reacting without deep thought or planning. Painting, for him, is almost an automatic process. When questioned about what he means by a certain part of a painting, he often responds, "It surprises me what I have painted when I have finished. I was just in my groove and this is what came out. Wow."

Michael has won many honors with his work which has been exhibited in New York, Denver, and Atlanta. The Hurn Museum in Savannah, Georgia presented a One-Man exhibition of his work in 2005 and has a number of his works in their permanent collection. Articles have appeared in Southern Living magazine (August 2006) and Better Homes and Gardens (August 2006) which featured him and his work. A review of his Hurn exhibition in the Savannah Morning News stated: "Ultimately, 'Michael Banks: Outsider Artist' offers Savannah's most rewarding and penetrating solo show in recent memory. As this unforgettable exhibit clearly indicates, Banks is one outsider artist who has certainly earned the right to be on the inside."

Vince Rinehart has been painting since the 1970's. Paintings follow flowing lines, evolving into impressions, images, colors, and shapes. His work explores and conveys the look, feel and mood of a range of human experiences, using an Expressionistic approach. Rinehart studied oil painting for several years under Tom Brown, Irvine Art
Center, CA, as well as at The Art Place in Marietta, GA , under Kip Rogers and Karl
Kroeppler. Rinehart has been selected three times by a juried panel to exhibit in the annual Metro Montage at the Murietta Cobb Museum of Art, Georgia. In 2022 and 2023 he exhibited, through Ongoing Conversation, at the Roswell Visual Arts Center. In Aug. 2023 a painting by Rinehart was on display at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center. The
Cincinnati Art Club (formed in 1890) selected Rinehart's painting "Guidance" for a juried exhibit in Sept., 2023. The Charleston Museum (org. 1773) accepted the painting "Charleston" for their collection in 2023. Gallerium Exhibit and publication featured the
painting "Guidance" in their Lights, Shadows and Reflections exhibition in 2023. Red Bluff Art Gallery featured "Meet Me at The Lighthouse" and "Guidance" in an exhibition in 2023. Las Lagunas Gallery in Calif. featured "Men after Work" in their Storytellers Exhibition in 2023. Gallerium - Spirituality featured "God Only Knows" in their 2023 exhibition. Biafarin selected "Sea Pebbles" for their "Awards" exhibition in 2023. In May2024 Rinehart with Karl Kroeppler held an exhibition at the Roswell Visual Arts Center.
Rinehart, along with Kroeppler and Dana Gioia, former Chairman of the National
Endowment for the Arts, were interviewed by Lois Reitzes of WABE-NPR "City Lights" inApril 2024. Rinehart graduated from Cal State Long Beach in 1972. In the late 70s,
obtaining a California Real Estate Brokers License, he started a mortgage banking firm.
He received a Commendation from the City of Long Beach, CA, the Long Beach JC Person of the Year, and a Commendation from the Calif. State Legislature. He resides in
Marietta, GA, with his wife Barbara, a sculpter, near their children and grandchildren.

These were the original questions behind SPOON's graphic experimentation that
ultimately led to the development of her uniquely recognizable style. Removing content
until the subject is unrecognizable, she slowly reintroduces data and color in search of
the threshold where visual and mental perceptions are balanced.
What began as an idea she was testing for fun quickly turned into something distinctive
that can now be seen at Fortune 500 companies, sport stadiums, luxury hotels,
museums and private residences around the world.
Every painting is composed and painted by hand, one dot at a time. In redacting a
subject to the edge of recognition, she challenges viewers to recompose only the
information that is absolutely necessary.
Distance, viewing angle, and even a camera lens change the way SPOON's artwork
resolves. As a result, everyone will experience it differently depending on their
perspective, not just mentally, but physically. This moving target of data assemblage
constantly challenges her to rethink each painting in a new way.
Her background in Urban Design and study of Architecture + Engineering have

Torres received her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, her Master of Law from the University of Miami, and most recently, her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the Savannah College of Art and Design ("SCAD").

At its heart, Torres' artwork explores and celebrates the ideals of freedom, equality and empowerment. Her work is in the permanent collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as Delta Airlines, SCAD, the Ritz Carlton, JW Marriott, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation.

Richard Russell began making collages in elementary school. Following two years at
Florida School of the Arts in Palatka, Florida, and with his eyes set on a future in Graphic Design, he migrated to the Atlanta College of Art. Upon being advised by a faculty member that the fine arts had no place in design, he abandoned his ad agency
goals to find passion in other mediums and finally graduated with a BFA in Photography in 1990. (Ironically, he has been a graphic designer and art director for the past two decades.). Throughout his career as an artist, he has continued to work in various combinations of collage and assemblage, photography, and artists' book formats. He has
exhibited in solo and group shows across the U.S. and Europe (and possibly Japan, but this can't be verified). His work is part of major venues including the Museum of
Modern Art in New York, Virginia Commonwealth University, the New York Public Library and the Sackler Collection of Visual and Concrete Poetry in Miami, as well as many private collections around the world. In 2008, he was honored to be selected one of the Top Five Finalists for the Forward Arts Foundation's Emerging Artist of the Year
Award and in 2009 as a Fellow at the Hambidge Center for Arts and Sciences.

Born with the name of Painter, Kim Painter Chesney was destined to become an artist.
With years of working, child-rearing and fund-raising for child-related nonprofit
organizations, there is no task too big for Kim to tackle. Her biggest joy to date is being a match for a bone marrow harvest, saving the life of a gentleman with leukemia. Kim's creative juices are always flowing, from developing a culinary arts program for impoverished kids to donating art to charities and designing and running fundraising
events that are wildly successful. Kim brings commitment, enthusiasm, and energy to everything to which she jumps on board.
As an artist, she has studied in several mediums, including oil, watercolor and graphite.
Currently, she is immersed in developing her own brand of encaustic painting, in which the works are both sculpted and painted. The encaustic process is an ancient hot wax technique known to have been used prior to 100 A.D. Using photographs of her travels
around the world, Kim mounts the image on boards, spreading a combination of hot beeswax and resin onto its surface. She then fires up her blow torch and fuses the wax to the image. Using sculpting tools to etch into the cooled surface and then covering this
with a colorful mix of oil pastel, creates a unique, rare piece of art.
She began showing her work in 2008 and has gained recognition and won awards forher paintings, which hang in a number of private collections. Her wok has been
featured in several local publications. Kim has studied with acclaimed
artists/instructors, including Marc Chatov, Jerry Fresia, Joe Paquet and James
Richards. She was introduced to encaustics by Donna Thomas, owner of The Art School in Sandy Springs.
In moving around the United States and abroad, including living in Tokyo, as well as her extensive travels, she has found art to be a valuable way to assimilate. "Art is a universal language that unites us," she says. That belief is directing her current work on a major series of encaustic paintings exploring and celebrating common humanity, drawn from
her experiences across six continents.

Stacie Uhinck Rose is originally from Marblehead, Ohio and has lived and worked in Atlanta since 2008. In both her paintings and prints, she works responsively by creating relationships between form and color, accumulating layers, deconstructing, and revising until it is resolved. She often applies screen printing techniques to her paintings, using the screens as painting tools to achieve patterns that echo throughout the work. The abstractions recall otherworldly landscapes and architectural references that address our relationship to the environment, objects, materials, and images that surround us.

Stacie has shown in Atlanta at Poem88 Gallery, Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia (MOCAGA), Swan Coach House Gallery, Kibbee Gallery, The Zuckerman Museum of Art, Barbara Archer Gallery, Mason Fine Art, Marcia Wood Gallery, Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art, Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, Reeves House Arts Center and Lamar Dodd School of Art (UGA). Kahrin Bennett has been an artist since the moment she first grasped a pencil. The soothing sound of her father's Unibal pen tapping away as he created pointillist pieces was a constant backdrop during her childhood, ultimately leading her to explore this medium early on in her career.

Bennett's artistry is a whimsical blend of urban culture, myth-making, and storytelling. She is a firm believer in the concept of art for art's sake, valuing strong composition and aesthetic simplicity. For her, the creative process is as rewarding as the finished piece, as she revels in painstaking hyper-realism and surrealism, leveraging her prowess as a draftswoman to forge connections with her audience.

Over the years, Bennett's style has evolved significantly. Her 2018 solo show, "Urban Mythology: A Quest to Understand the Unexplainable," showcased twelve pieces painted on reclaimed wood from Brooklyn's streets, each reflecting on how one might perceive a metropolis devoid of prior knowledge or context. Her dynamic works burst with vibrant color and themes that delve into the "Post Hip-Hop Urban Experience," offering commentary on the sentiments of a generation seemingly abandoned by its cultural cornerstone-Hip-Hop-and the resulting subcultures seeking direction.

Currently, Bennett's work examines black mythology, Afrofuturism, visual culture, color, texture, and magic, exploring the intersections among these elements. Her art captures the ethereal essence of blackness and femininity, celebrating its boldness and power. In her view, we are all goddesses.

Chantelle Chapman is a graduate of the School of Art and Design at Kennesaw State University,

a painter, Chantelle was born in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, where she grew up
surrounded by the beauty of art and nature. Her greatest source of inspiration is the abiding
passion for natural history that was kindled during those early years.

Working in a variety of traditional media, from oil to ink to gouache, Chantelle uses her art as a powerful
storytelling tool, combining written and visual media to craft compelling narratives drawn from the natural
world, with a strong scientific grounding. Chantelle has conducted in-person research amid the
collections of institutions such as the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Currently, she is

About the Artist: Linda Mitchell is an American artist whose mixed media animal paintings and installations have
been featured in over 20 solo exhibitions at museums in the United States.
She was born in Atlanta, Georgia in a family that nurtured her early interest in both animals and
making art. Her mother bred cocker spaniels, and Mitchell was encouraged by a great-aunt
who taught music, art and drama. As a child, she started painting, making animal figures, and
sewing, all of which informed her work as a mature artist.
She received a BFA from UGA, and 2 MFAs from GSU in painting and sculpture. In graduate
school she developed a visual language combining her painted and sculptural imagery,

Steven Dinberg Photography is the culmination of over 30 years of professional photographic experiences. Steve's interest in photography started with a Brownie Hawkeye as he would strive to capture perfect snapshots of childlike images. He has since continued his quest to capture lasting impressions as he made his career with commercial, sports and fine art photography and evolved from developing in darkrooms to the latest in photography technology. Along the way, Steve has hung out of airplanes over Sydney Harbor at 7000 feet to add perspective to experimental aircraft as well as covered almost every sporting event.

Steve was fortunate enough to be the photographer of the legendary golfer Payne Stewart, and produced the now famous Lithograph from Payne's last victory at the 1999 U.S. Open. from those images produced the "Tribute To A Champion" lithograph. Steve uses his lens to capture the essence of his subjects at just the right moment, and through that lens developed a strong focus on fine art.

During the last several years, Steve has focused on fine art techniques showcasing his travel experiences.
