Your Dollars at Work:
$50 = One Bullying Prevention class or three hours of Respite Child Care for an overwhelmed parent
$100 = Four hours of parenting instruction or one Happy Bear session for 25 children
$250 = Family Mentoring & Support services for three months of in-home visitation and parenting education
$500 = Advocacy and support services for one victim and their non-offending parent or caregiver
$1000 = One year of advocacy and professional support for a foster child and their volunteer CASA
$2000 = Three months of 24/7 on-call support for children and their families
?CAPS is proud that 90.02% of all expenses go to direct client service while only 9.89% are administrative. All services are offered in both English and Spanish.

Bullying Prevention Education

This school-based program teaches children in grades 3 - 6 how to stand up for themselves and others while practicing empathy; compassion; acceptance; kindness and respect. One class for 20 children averages $50 to teach for the educator and supplies.

CASA Program

Ottawa/Saline County Court Appointed Special Advocate Program supports children in foster care; lifting their voice for a permanent home. Training for a volunteer costs $500.

Chris's Place CAC

Chris's Place is one of 880 nationally-accredited Child Advocacy Centers providing wrap-around community support for children experiencing sexual abuse; physical abuse; human trafficking or witnesses to violent crimes.
In partnership with law enforcement; social workers; trauma-focused therapists; sexual assault nurse examiners; prosecution and victim advocates; Chris's Place gives hope for survivors to tell their story and shine a new light. Victim Advocacy for one child averages $1,000.

Family Mentoring & Support

Comprehensive case management; in-home parenting skill assessment and education; emotional support; budgeting and safety planning. One month of mentoring averages $200 and families receive support for 3-6 months on average.
