Join us on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM (Central Daylight Time) for an online forum webinar with Diana Bishop, MA, where we'll discuss the impact of menopause in the workplace.
Menopause is a natural part of a woman's life that typically aligns with crucial career development years. Menopause can impact women in various ways at work, such as symptom severity, caregiving challenges, impact on work, perceived capabilities, and more. Many women find it challenging to manage symptoms and may feel embarrassed and fear stigma due to menopause. Engaging in conversations about menopause with colleagues is vital to breaking down barriers, fostering a supportive environment, and normalizing discussions about menopause experiences.
During this workshop, we will
- Address common truths and myths related to menopause
- Explore preventive measures, risk factors, and screening guidelines to help women develop a practical action plan
- Initiate important discussions regarding menopause in the workplace to increase awareness, reduce stigma associated with menopause and aging, and offer support for women navigating the menopausal transition
- Address questions and concerns that men may have related to how best to support their coworkers, family, and friends who may be currently struggling with the different phases of menopause
