Booker's "Springfield Batch" Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (750 ml)

Named for the small-town central Kentucky town of Springfield - the home of Booker's birth and early life. A farming town, Booker is said to have gotten his work ethic from his time as a farm hand there on the many tobacco patches and hay farms. This first release of 2024 is blended from five production dates across four different warehouse locations. The youngest component is seven years, seven months, and eight days old. The barrel breakdown is 17% 5th floor of 9-story warehouse G, 7% from 4th floor of 9-story warehouse H, 31% from 5th floor of 7-story warehouse Z, and 45% from 4th floor of 7-story warehouse 3.

Larkmead 2019 LMV Salon. Cabernet Franc has historically played a supporting role in the LMV Salon blend. It is a noble variety, but one with an uneven history in Napa Valley, both qualitatively and stylistically. Here at Larkmead, there is success in planting Cabernet Franc in heavier, richer soils. Moving forward, the goal is to allow this wine to differentiate itself by including a higher percentage of Cabernet Franc (up to 70%); this will elevate the variety's complementary characteristics (spice, herb) to Cabernet Sauvignon and produce a blend that best communicates the complexity of the estate.

Angel's Envy Private Select Port Finished Kentucky Straight Bourbon (750ml)

This gorgeous single barrel of Angel's Envy continues the string of excellent barrel picks we've come across from the now well-established brand. This particular barrel was hand selected by K&L Spirits Buyer David Othenin-Girard after tasting many casks, it was determined that this was the finest they could offer. The gorgeous Angel's Envy distillery hums quietly in downtown Louisville, the tell aromas of fermentation filling the streets with the head aromas of bubbling mash. The popular brand has already expanded operations at the urban distillery, but we're still limited in terms of how much of their excellent single barrel program we're able to source. The classic high rye mashbill here offering 18% rye, and finished for more than 6 months in ex-port wine barrels, these whiskies show intensity and depth beyond the distillery's standard release products. Expect a powerful and complex bourbon showing mature whisky characteristics along-side some sweet red fruit, complex dark cacao and gorgeous French oak spice.

3 Bottles of Brian Arden - West Kade Flagship Red Blend

Nestled along the Silverado Trail in Calistoga across the street from the Four Seasons sits a family-owned winery called Brian Arden. While they produce a wide range of great varietals, their flagship wine is called West Kade (named after the oldest son of winemaker Brian Arden), which is a classic Bordeaux blend containing all five Bordeaux grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. This non-vintage wine is a blend of grapes from both the 2018 and 2019 vintages.

Duo Ad Vivum 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon

Vintner Chris Phelps was the founding winemaker for Dominus Estate and later left to work with Caymus and then Swanson. After more than 30 years of making wine for others, Chris started Ad Vivum, which debuted with his 2008 debut vintage. Showing constant improvement, the 2014 Ad Vivum picks up where the 2013 left off. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and comes from Sleeping Lady Vineyard, which is in the western bench of Yountville. Blackberry, Raspberry and black cherry fill the glass with a little spice and gravely minerality - the tannins are polished and the fruit is focused and concentrated. Sleeping Lady Vineyard is now one of the more sought-after vineyards for sourcing quality Cabernet Sauvignon. Other wineries such as Fait-Main, Orin Swift, Zeitgeist also work with this Yountville AVA vineyard. 253 cases were produced.

Duo Rudd Samantha Cab 2008

The debut vintage of Samantha's Cabernet Sauvignon is full bodied and powerful. There are noticeable hints of red currant, black plum, crème de cassis, and blackberry. The palate expresses vanilla, clove, sandalwood and red stone. A massive mid-palate ends with graphite, vanilla, and notes of ripe tobacco. Large and strong Cabernet Sauvignon tannins give way to the finish. This wine will age nicely for thirteen to eighteen years.

2018 Block Six Vineyard 7 & 8
The inaugural release of Block Six is very exciting for all of us here at the winery. A project that started in 2014 with the planting of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and a little bit more Cabernet Sauvignon on the Estate. Planted on the steepest hillside slopes, growing in beautiful volcanic soils, these vines produce fruit with exceptional depth and character - we knew from the very beginning this had not only to be it's own wine, but our new flagship. All fruit for this blend was 100% barrel-fermented, a labor intensive technique we use to highlight the aromatics, texture and mouthfeel. This is a serious wine, and one that we cannot wait to share with you!

For those with a bit of a sweet tooth, those who enjoy a little port with a piece of dessert or a nice cigar, this is a lot for you.

Graham's 20 year Aged Tawney Porto

A wonderful Aged Tawny, exquisitely mellowed by careful aging for 20 years.

Aged for an average of 20 years in seasoned oak casks, our 20 Year Old Tawny demonstrates the complexities afforded by careful aging in wood. Pairs extremely well with nuts, dried fruits and fruitcake, but also with vanilla ice cream or crème brûlée.

On the nose, it shows an excellent bouquet with a characteristic 'nutty' character and delicious mature fruit with hints of orange peel. On the palate, it is rich, softly sweet and smooth, perfectly balanced, with a long and elegant finish.

To be enjoyed slightly chilled. Once open, enjoy within 8 weeks.

Vineyard 29 Aida estate Late Harvest Zinfandel 2019
Aida Estate Vineyard has confirmed our initial belief that this site would be the ideal location for growing Bordeaux varietals as well as Zinfandel. Just north of the pinch in the hourglass of the Napa Valley, the Zinfandel grapes from our Aida Estate provide the bold, structured backbone for this immensely enjoyable wine.

2019 vintage was spectacular from start to finish. Some areas of Napa Valley recorded as much as 40-50 inches of much needed rain over the winter. e wet soils delayed budbreak and additional April rains provided a fully saturated environment for the vines. Spring weather was mild and ideal for fruit set and the summer of 2019 was phenomenal, for both the vines and the vineyard workers. Very few heat spikes and a long, drawn out growing season provided excellent, uniform ripening across all varietals.

White floral notes, strawberry rhubarb pie and freshly zested orange rind provide the opening introduction to the 20th vintage of the Aida Estate Zinfandel. Further swirling exhibits floral and fruit notes that quickly and seamlessly give way to savory meaty notes of grilled venison and pork loin. Medium to full bodied in weight, this wine provides a succulent mouthfeel while never losing its great acid structure and polished demeanor. On the palate, ripe blackberries, all-spice and cassis delight and lead to a never-ending, spice driven finish.

Enjoy this wonderful dessert wine from Pride Mountain Vineyards, located atop Spring Mountain in Napa Valley. This is made from a late harvest Viogner grape.

The single barrel's we've received this last year have been some of my absolute favorite Craig's, and this Bonus Barrel takes my #1 spot immediately.
