Project: Unique Stars
Description: Each student designed a unique star to represent themselves, using a variety of colors, materials, and personal touches. Each child's star was placed on individual canvases and then joined together to form an 18 x 18" vibrant and colorful galaxy to hang in your home. The stars painted with fluorescent paint will fluoresce in daylight and glow in the dark. This artwork symbolizes how everyone's unique aura shines in their own way. Just like stars in the sky-no two are exactly alike-but when we come together and connect with one another, we can create a universe full of light, color, and hope.

Project: Coloful Luminaries Full of Love
Description: Our students designed and made a luminary using colorful polymer clay. They rolled each bark of clay into a long rope of similar lengths, then lined them up next to each other and molded a single, multi-color rope. They rolled the single rope until it became smooth, then folded the rope and repeated the process until the colors were cohesively mixed. They molded the rope into a rectangle and rolled the rectangle into a cylinder. After ensuring the interface as sealed, the students pinched the clay into into a more creative shape. Upon completion, the teacher baked the clay so that it hardened into a really unique light luminary! This activity was a fun way for our students to practice fine motor skills, creativity, and teamwork.
