Project: Coloful Luminaries Full of Love
Description: Our students designed and made a luminary using colorful polymer clay. They molded the rope into a rectangle and rolled the rectangle into a cylinder. After ensuring the interface as sealed, the students pinched the clay into into a more creative shape. Upon completion, the teacher baked the clay so that it hardened into a really unique light luminary! Much of the early production was News driven with anchors such as Walter Cronkite, who was the CBS Evening News anchorman for 19 years. Since then, it has been the production home for live news and sports programming, soap operas, sitcoms, prime time dramatic presentations, talk shows, court themed shows, and children's programming.
Today, the CBS Broadcast Center is the home for CBS News Streaming programing, CBS Sports and Sports Network WCBS-TV and several other corporate and third-party productions. It is also the distribution center for the CBS Television Network.
The campus also contains additional support spaces such as a scenic design area, audience holding areas, dressing rooms, wardrobe storage and prep rooms, multi-station make-up and hair rooms, a multipurpose rehearsal space, 24-hour per day national/international distribution and commercial integration facility, a commissary, and on-site production office space. It is the only television production facility in New York that is truly full-service, able to provide assistance with set design, installation, lighting, propping, production, post-production and distribution.

HWIS Connection
When Carlyle Peake left the Pacers off of his list of blackout games for 2023-2024, he had no idea he would be unwittingly donating two seats in the best game of that season to support the HWISPA-NY 2023 Annual Gala. To add insult to injury, the tickets were auctioned for a steal! Despite moping through most of the following day while repeatedly mumbling like a patient in a psychiatric unit, "I can't believe I gave away tickets to the best game of the year," (and with more than a little coaxing from his wife), he has continued to begrudgingly hand over a pair of seats in Madison Square Garden to support the HWISPA-NY Fundraising Committee's annual efforts. Carlyle has been a diehard Knicks fan and loyal, albeit often-depressed season ticket holder through their darkest periods (frequently forcing Katie to remain in the arena to the bitter end of painful blowout after painful blowout). So please help us honor his service and his sacrifice, especially now that they're recently begun having some of their best seasons... in decades. What. A. Freaking. Game.

About Classic Kids
We aren't just another photography company.
We're a special little family, born more than twenty-five years ago from the vision of a new mom in pursuit of her own happiness and passion. Julie Floyd, then a successful tax attorney, dreamt of a job where she could play with children and practice her art all while capturing treasured moments in people's lives. So she followed her dreams and never looked back.
One of the best things about Classic Kids is that every person on our team has this inherent happiness and passion.
Many a late night latte has been shared discussing the perfect peek a boo (you must hit that first syllable hard!) and debating the subtleties of the monkey antics most likely to elicit belly laughs.

About the Venue
As renovations began at 38 West 26th Street, we uncovered an unexpected "lucky charm" nestled beneath years of drywall-an illustration of a majestic peacock rendered ivory.
We knew the white peacock, a rare and gentle bird with a powerfully protective nature, symbolized good fortune in certain cultures. And once we recognized this lucky emblem had graced the storied walls of our chosen home-The Ivory Peacock began to take flight.
Perched within Manhattan's Flatiron and NoMad neighborhoods, The Ivory Peacock pays homage to its original location, which boasts 139 years of history as a bona fide neighborhood destination. As such, we pride ourselves on our offerings: distinct, imaginative cocktails complemented by a variety of vibrant shareable plates.
Our cocktail program, led by Head Bartenders Carlos Soto and Daniel Benitez, is filled with seasonal spins on classic cocktails utilizing technical French kitchen techniques and includes our signature Emerald Bar Gin & Tonic' Tray' Service and Signature Sub-Zero Martini Menu.
Full of bright, familiar tastes as well as adventurous flavors, our culinary program is inspired by the vast depth of the ocean and fabled kitchens of France and Japan. Our culinary roster includes a raw bar with fresh oysters arriving daily and a selection of familiar French fare-deemed 'luxe finger food' by our Chef Grayson Altenberg.
Custom banquettes and comfortable stool seating play host to visitors as they sample our extensive collection of quality gins-the largest in NYC-amidst two distinct bar experiences alongside our cocktail dining room experience.
Perfect for a date night, post-work happy hour, a milestone celebration, or any evening you might fancy a cocktail, The Ivory Peacock invites you to think of us as an extension of your very own living room.

By prioritizing quality, they strive to offer you an exceptional cup of coffee that you can enjoy while knowing that you are supporting a brand that shares your antifascist values.
About Antifascist Coffee
OUR STORY: Founded in 2023, Antifascist Coffee was born out of a desire to combine our love for exceptional coffee with our commitment to antifascist values. Watching events unfold during the last several years has been sobering. The rise in fascist ideologies in the U.S. and throughout the world; the use of doublespeak in an attempt to convince folks that antifascists are the bad guys (what?!); the glorification of guns and mass murders; racist, sexist, and classist legislation… We could go on, but we think you get the picture. Seeing brands using hate to sell products made us yearn for an alternative and we were confident we weren't alone. We believe that the simple act of enjoying a cup of coffee and engaging in conversation with someone you just met can help create connections, build bridges, and knock down walls. With all of this in mind, we set out to create a brand that not only satisfies your coffee cravings, but also stands firmly against oppression, discrimination, and hatred. Standing up for people, animals, and our environment shouldn't be political, just logical.
OUR ANTIFACIST COMMITMENT: At Antifascist Coffee, we oppose all forms of discrimination and oppression and actively support organizations and initiatives that champion equality, equity, justice, and love. A portion of our proceeds are donated to organizations fostering positive change in our communities. When you choose Antifascist Coffee, you're not just getting great coffee; you're supporting organizations that uphold your values. Our inaugural donations will be made to The Trevor Project, whose mission is to end suicide among LGBTQ young people through crisis services, advocacy, research, and public education; Project Street Vet, a nonprofit charity that provides free veterinary care and support to the pets of people experiencing homelessness and housing vulnerability; and Planned Parenthood Action Fund, where they work to advance access to sexual healthcare and defend reproductive rights.
Stay connected with us on social media to learn more about our latest news and updates. Together, we can enjoy great coffee and work towards a world where equality, equity, justice, and love prevail.
Thank you for joining us. We are antifascists and we love you.

About SocRoc NYC
James Christie grew up in the rolling hills of the Oley Valley, a rural town in Pennsylvania that was so small that it didn't have a football team. An active little boy, James' parents signed him up for the youth soccer team, and at his first practice a deep and undying passion was ignited. As James kicked ball after ball against the barn wall with his brother, soccer became the main focus of his life. Playing for his tiny high school, James began to make a name for himself in the sport and gain athletic recognition on a larger platform. James was named a High School All-American and called up to the Under-Twenty United States National Team, received a full Division 1 scholarship to play at Philadelphia University where he made the All-Mid Atlantic Team, gained his National C Coaching License, and landed a professional contract with the Baltimore Spirit.
As a professional player, James was nagged by chronic injuries and his body forced him into an early retirement. He returned to Philadelphia and began weight-lifting to rehabilitate his knee. Loving the results, James discovered a second passion-personal training. At the time, he shifted his focus from soccer to learning all he could about fitness and began the arduous process of earning the sought-after NSCA's Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Designation.
Still James missed the excitement of professional sports and as his twenties came to an end, he packed his bags and moved to New York City with the hope of becoming a famous actor. He figured that personal training would be a great side hustle while be made the show biz rounds. But when one of his personal training clients learned he had been a professional soccer player, she convinced him to teach a class to her son and his friends. With a bag of soccer balls, and a few cones, James met the group of six kids in Central Park and the first-ever SocRoc class was born. Something special happened that afternoon-James' love of soccer was reborn in the thrill he felt when teaching the children.
For two decades, James has grown SocRoc into one of Manhattan's most unique, high-quality programs for kids, expanding from Central Park into other parks, playgrounds, daycare centers, and private and public schools throughout the five boroughs. SocRoc employs over 30 coaches and teaches over 200 classes a week. In 2021, James enlisted the help of his sister, Heather Christie, to take over as CEO and Director of Operations so he could concentrate on coaching development. Together, they have exciting plans for SocRoc's future, recently launching BBRoc Basketball Classes For Kids and Classes For Kids With Disabilities.
It's paramount to James, Heather, and the entire SocRoc team to create a boutique, hands-on, positive soccer and fitness experience for all. They pride themselves in delivering unparalleled service.
We hope you'll make SocRoc a part of your family's life. See you on the pitch!

About PATRICK CUPID
[pa-trik] [kyoo-pid]
Designed responsibly from start to finish.
In our effort to promote responsible consumption, each season is designed relative to the last, allowing a wardrobe to be built over time piece by piece. As a palette of color opens and develops, shifting from summer into fall encompassing seasonal prints, shapes, and silhouettes evolve too establish themselves in harmony with their predecessors, and can be layered or paired together, bridging several collections.
This design ethos is combined with the sourcing of biodegradable and recyclable material, as locally as possible. In furthering this effort, we do not refrain from re-purposing fabrics of previous seasons; as the brand, Patrick Cupid underlays its entire philosophy with a positive drive to sustain the planet. HWIS Connection
The friendship between Petia Abdur-Razzaaq (HWIS Parent, Mandarin Grade 4) and Patrick Cupid began over 20 years ago in the most unexpected setting. Petia was hired to handle marketing for what would turn out to be a very shady real estate operation, while Patrick worked in a hidden room behind the scenes, sewing pieces for the owner's emerging fashion line.
Despite working in different parts of the building, their paths crossed one day in the hallways, sparking a conversation that soon blossomed into a lasting friendship. Over the years, their connection has only grown stronger, and today, the mutual compassion and generosity that bonds them extends to HudsonWay, proving that sometimes, the best friendships grow from the most unlikely of encounters.

About sundays
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself - I'm Amy, the founder of sundays, a nail care brand focused on wellness.
Going to the salon is about so much more than just getting your nails done - it's a small, but powerful way to practice self-care for your mind and body. It's the special treat you allow yourself to enjoy every one or two weeks. I designed sundays studio to feel like home, so that clients can feel comfortable and be themselves, without the hustle and bustle of rushing. Clients don't necessarily want to talk to anyone while they are getting their nails done, so they have the choice of listening to guided meditation while enjoying their favorite treatment.
While I was in nail school, I felt strongly about creating a non-toxic, salon-quality product and service that was safe for both clients and employees. I spent a year after I graduated from Columbia University with an MBA, working with a chemist to study the nail care products on the market and to create our own non-toxic nail polish formula, which is sundays' signature product.
I founded sundays on the values of individuality, simplicity, and wellness, which is also what I aspire to practice every day. I believe wellness is a journey, and not a one-size-fits-all solution, or an achievement to check off your to-do list, but a long-term goal.
sundays is so much more than nail care products: we're a community - our incredible employees, beautiful clients, and social followers that are passionate about wellness and have joined us in their own way, on this journey. Knowing that we all belong to the sundays community, knowing that we do not have to sacrifice for beauty because we can create options, because we encourage and support one another through self-care, self-love, and lots of practice.
Thank you for joining the sundays community and for your continued support. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about nail care. I'm more than happy to share anything I know and if not, we can learn together!

$250 at Tavern on The Green
$200$250 Gift Card for Tavern on the Green
In benefit of HWISPA-NY
Fair Market Value: $250
Buy Now: $200
How often can you donate $200 to your school and receive $250 to spend at one of New York City's most iconic restaurants in return? Now that's a deal you can't refuse!
About Tavern on the Green
Originally designed by Calvert Vaux, Tavern on the Green was built as a sheep fold in the 1880's to house the 200 Southdown sheep that grazed in Central Park's Sheep Meadow. Robert Moses transformed the building in to a restaurant in 1934, as part of his park renovation. Through the next few decades, Tavern underwent several changes in management, but the iconic view of the park, and the addition of a dance floor, outdoor seating, and lavish menu, kept prominent actors, musicians, and public figures coming back to the restaurant to dine, drink, and celebrate.
After a hiatus starting in 2009, the city searched diligently for a new operator to reopen the iconic restaurant in 2013. The city selected current owners and restaurateurs Jim Caiola and David Salama, previously of Philadelphia, who would bring a fresh, welcoming approach to Tavern. The duo renovated the restaurant with inviting décor and wood paneling reminiscent of the original sheep fold, and, with a seasonal menu more reflective of Greater New York, reopened Tavern on the Green in April 2014.
