This special place is all about relaxation, beginning from the moment you leave your car behind in the historic town of Southport and board the Bald Head Ferry for a scenic 20-minute ride to the Island. With no cars, no fast food restaurants and no streetlights, you can focus on enjoying time with family and friends; take long walks along the beach; learn about the Native Americans, pirates and soldiers who spent time here; climb to the top of Old Baldy, the historic lighthouse commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson; and be awed by the brilliance of the stars shining over the sea at night. Your home while on Bald Head will be a cozy villa within easy walking distance to the beach and right next to the Bald Head Island Club. The villa sleeps six, with two bedrooms, a spacious loft and two and a half baths. It's two upper decks provide great ocean views and the deck on it's lower level overlooks a lagoon. And to make your stay on Bald Head Island even more perfect, the villa is dog-friendly!
Guests take passenger ferries that leave regularly from the Bald Head Island Ferry Landing in the historic town of Southport.
Except for public safety and construction vehicles, no automobiles are allowed on the island. Residents and renters travel by golf cart, which the home comes with a 6 person golf cart. Available 5/2025-10/2026.
