One case of twelve Rose d'Enfer Saint-Mont Rose 2023. Pale pink in color with a bluish tint, d'Enfer is very different from other roses on the market. It is lively and delicate, with irresistible aromas of fresh berries (red and black currant) and notes of raspberry. Wonderfully round and fresh. Great as an aperitif, or with starters, grilled meat, fish and shellfish. A versatile accompaniment throughout a meal thanks to its delicious freshness. Rose is a blend of Tannat, Pinenc and Cabernet Sauvignon vines are managed according to sustainable agriculture principles, have been selected for their cool locations (north or west facing) to focus on the aromatic expression of the red grapes destined for this blend.

The superb second wine, the 2005 Clos du Marquis, reflects the utter brilliance of the 2005 grand vin. It boasts an inky/ruby/purple color along with a sweet perfume of lead pencil, ripe cherries and black currants, and hints of earth and vanillin. Four bottles 2019 Chateau Roylland Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, France. An illustrious representative of the Saint-Emilion appellation, the Grand Cru enjoys a dominance of merlot. It features a deep garnet colour, blissfully flavoured dark berries and silky tannins. Ripe fruit aromas (cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, raspberry), oak and light tobacco notes, and fruity finish.
One bottle Peter Michael 2020 L'Apres-Midi Sauvignon Blanc. 'L'Apres-Midi' (The Afternoon) was named in honor of the pleasures of a slow and lazy afternoon, which according to Sir Peter is a good time to start enjoying this wine. This is one of our two estate-grown Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon blends. The grapes are grown alongside our red Bordeaux varietals within Les Pavots Vineyard, benefiting from the steep slopes, excellent drainage, and cool air at altitude. The wine is whole-cluster-pressed and then naturally fermented in a barrel, forgoing a second malolactic fermentation to preserve the fruity and zesty character of the Sauvignon Blanc. It is predominantly made from Sauvignon Blanc, with just a touch of Semillon.
One bottle Peter Michael 2020 La Carriere Chardonnay. 'La Carriere', French for "The Quarry", reflects the vineyard's spoon shape and tremendously rocky soils. Situated between 1,200 and 1,700 feet (366 and 518 meters) above sea level on steep mountain slopes exceeding 40 percent in grade, the vineyard has ideal southern and southeastern exposures. The shallow, rocky soils provide excellent drainage with restricted fertility, resulting in lower fruit yields with profound richness and character. 'La Carriere' provides a signature complexity and liquid minerality from its mountainous origin.
One bottle Peter Michael 2020 Belle Cote Chardonnay. 'Belle Cote', French for "Beautiful Slope", was named by Sir Peter after the famous ski run in Courchevel, France. The oldest of the four Knights Valley Estate Chardonnay vineyards, 'Belle Cote' consistently exemplifies the potential of crafting exceptionally high-quality Chardonnay from our mountain vineyards. Planted at 1,700 to 1,800 feet (518 to 549 meters), Belle Cote has a southeastern exposure and a western border of native trees, which shelter the vines from the hot afternoon sun. These unique attributes create a naturally cool microclimate that provides an extended growing period and slow-ripening fruit, resulting in a later picking schedule that often continues into October (two to three weeks longer than most Chardonnay vineyards in Napa and Sonoma Counties).

One case of twelve 2013 Leoville-Poyferre, St-Julien. Following a cool damp spring, vine growth got off to a slow start, leading to an exceptionally late flowering. 2013 owes everything to a magnificent summer, especially a gorgeous month of July (the hottest since 1991) with more intense sunshine than August. Phenolic maturity was not disrupted by water stress. Plot-by-plot harvesting, then vinification in our conical tanks revealed the best of our terroir despite the atypical conditions of the vintage.
