The online auction is a separate event held virtually online from February 21 through March 2 at PenBlackAndGold.com. Anyone can participate by registering and bidding using a smart phone or any other computing device. You must enter a credit card to bid. Winners of these auctions will be able to pickup their items on a designated pickup day at Pen High. At this online auction, you will also be able to see a preview of items that will be at the event auctions.
WHAT IS A SILENT AUCTION?
The silent auction takes place at the Black & Gold Affaire event on March 7. The auction is "silent" because there is no auctioneer conducting the bidding. It is either done through written bid sheets or on your mobile device. These auction items are exclusive to the event, and on display to view and bid on during the opening reception from 6pm and 8pm. A schedule of when bidding closes will be available in the program and at the event. Winners will be able to pay for their items and take them home with them at the end of the evening.
WHAT IS THE LIVE AUCTION?
The live auction takes place during the dinner portion of the Black & Gold Affaire with a live auctioneer conducting the bidding. The items available for auction are premier items exclusive to event guests and include graduation tickets, travel, and extra special items for bid. This auction is conducted with the traditional call and paddle raise style of auctions in the ballroom. Live auction items will be available for preview at PenBlackAndGold.com before the event.
