Over the past decade, he has maintained a teaching studio and school "The Goshen School of Art" where a marsh, farm, and forest meet on the Crow Creek in Goshen, NJ. It is there on 37 acres, that he has created a nature sanctuary and has begun creating a Sculpture Garden.

Former Comedy Central TV staffer and NYC ad agency art director, James McPhillips has worked for many years in Princeton, NJ. Originally he was McCarter Theatre's graphic designer and for the past few years has independently created and sold his creations online and in various galleries and shops.
