Resident of Ocean Springs. He and his wife both work for NOAA…he as a Research Fishery Biologist and his wife as a Meteorologist. He discovered and named the a new species of pocket shark (Mollisquama mississippiensis, or the American pocket shark) in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010, and has been widely published and even featured in National Geographic. He volunteers at the Ocean Springs Yacht Club, and he donates many original paintings, such as this one, every year to local nonprofits for use in fundraisers and silent auctions.
