What Is The Story?

As transformative as it is captivating, Martel's Life of Pi is a magical masterpiece that introduces us to Pi, a 16-year-old boy adrift in a lifeboat with four fellow survivors - a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, and a terrifying Bengal Tiger. As they navigate the unpredictable waters of the Pacific Ocean, Pi's boundless imagination soon becomes his greatest asset.

Recently renamed in 2014, the Connor Palace is one of the four principal PlayhouseSquare theaters. The renaming of the theater followed a donation by the Connor family of Cleveland, of nine millions dollars to the Playhouse Square capital campaign. Originally named the Palace Theatre, the venue opened in 1922 as the flagship of B.F. Keith's vaudeville chain. In 1978 the theater joined the National Register of Historic Places, along with the other Playhouse Square theaters.
