We argued for days about whether or not to put this lot in the sale this year. This will be the only time this mating is ever offered for sale. It's not very often that you get a cow with a great phenotype along with a great EPD profile but here one is. C31 raised the record setting heifer calf at the 2021 Bet on Red Sale in Reno for $30,000, selling to Hansine Ranch! We sold half of C31 n 2023 to Niobrara Red Angus for $25,000, which makes this the highest valued female we have ever raised. Phenotypically she is flawless, as deep ribbed as we have ever seen on a Red Angus cow, has a great udder, moves like a cat and does it all right. We are using a son of hers very heavily in our herd right now. We believe this cow and her progeny may very well be the future of our herd! She boasts 10 EPDs in the top 8% of the breed, you read that correctly! Drifter is the sire of the high selling sire group in our sale this spring when 18 sons averaged over $13,000 including one to Select Sires and one to ABS. With semen off the market this is one of your only chances to get in on the ground floor. The Drifter heifers may very well be better than the bulls at this point and the females resulting from these embryos have the opportunity to be some of the best, most sought after in the breed.
