MARIA ANTELMAN (b. Athens, Greece) is a visual artist based in Athens and New York. She approaches technological progress from a feminine perspective, reevaluating our connection to Mother Nature, our historical past, technology, and the Self. Recently her works have been presented at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Visual Arts Center at the University of Texas at Austin, the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST) in Athens, and Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. JON AUSTIN is a ceramic artist focused on natural and biomorphic forms. Austin has always been inspired by nature and can often be found outside drawing inspiration or eagerly awaiting spring during frigid Nebraska winters. Handbuilding has been his favorite way of expressing himself with clay. Pinch and coil techniques allow him to create the organic forms seen in his body of work. Austin enjoys using pinch pots in creative ways to show that the technique can be as complex and dynamic as other ceramic skills. Austin was a Brown Bar Artist-in-Residence and is currently a pottery teacher at Millard North High School and a Kent Bellows ceramics mentor. JUSTIN BELLER is a mixed-media artist known for work that represents both the physicality of space and the metaphysics of dreamlike states. In his paintings and wall installations he uses vertical and horizontal lines, blocks of colors, abstract freeforms, and geometric shapes to distill the essence of earth, sky, and water and to open closed interior surroundings. Movement, form, freedom, and time are integral components of his work, and they all combine to expand and extend confined interior spaces.
In his paintings, Beller replicates smooth, water-like surfaces and boundless, open skies to absorb viewers into quieter, more contemplative worlds that, while focusing them in the present, go beyond limited time constraints. His elongated freestanding sculptures and tapered wall installations similarly create the illusion of greater openness by bringing viewers' gazes upwards and outwards. The overall effect creates greater spatial awareness and a deeper appreciation of our immediate surroundings, ones that are ultimately as intimate as they are boundless.
Frequently commissioned by private collectors as well as corporate and small businesses, Beller maintains a one-man studio in Benson, one of Omaha's fastest expanding arts districts. Beller is represented by Moberg Gallery in Des Moines, Iowa and eAurora in Chicago, Illinois.

JESS BENJAMIN's imagination was trained in the irrigation ditches on the 100th Meridian and was one of the last to be educated in a two-room schoolhouse. Benjamin now lives in the city and has gained a balanced perspective on our nation's water and drought issues. Benjamin received her BA from Hastings College in 2001 and worked as a studio assistant for Jun Kaneko until 2006. In 2008, she received her MFA from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. She returned to Omaha the same year to pursue her research and to acquire studio space in which she could continue to make large-scale ceramic sculpture. Jess has exhibited her artwork at the Amarillo Museum of Art, Ellen Noel Art Museum, and Joslyn Art Museum. In 2013, the Nebraska Arts Council awarded her an Individual Artist Fellowship Grant. Benjamin's artwork has been published in Ceramics Monthly, Clay Times, NY Arts Magazine, Lark Crafts: The Best of 500 Ceramics, 500 Ceramic Sculptures, and Sculpture Magazine.

RUSSELL BRAUSCH, an interdisciplinary artist whose work spans oil painting, ceramics, and sculpture, has been deeply influenced by the contrasting landscapes of Maine and Colorado, where he spent his formative years. HANA BROCK is an Omaha-based oil painter whose practice focuses on how architecture and forgotten spaces can act as a mirror of human emotions, influencing feelings of grief, loneliness, and abandonment. Her attraction to liminal spaces stems from the fact that they are created for the purpose of human use. As time passes and people move on, the space remains, being left behind with a collection of memories. These unknowable histories inspire Brock to see structures as living, silently existing, and observing how we interact with them. Capturing these structures at night, stripped of human interaction, and incorporating artificial light is her way of further enhancing our connection to spaces.
Brock has an associate degree in fine art from McCook Community College and a BFA from University of Nebraska Omaha. Since 2023, she has been a studio assistant for Mary Zicafoose.

ANN BRUGENHEMKE is a painter, pastel artist, and ceramic artist living in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Her 2-D work focuses on imagery from nature with a strong emphasis on light source and high-contrast compositions. Her ceramic work ranges from controlled carving, as if drawing into the clay, in addition to organic shapes and vessels. She also makes ceramic sculptures, which utilize other materials such as wood, hardware, and string. Brugenhemke graduated from UNO in 1992 with her BFA with a thesis in painting. SANDI BRUNS is a plein air watercolor painter that holds a BA degree in design and fashion from the University of Iowa and a BFA equivalent with an MFA in printmaking from the University of Hawaii. Her prints have won awards including a Purchase Award from the Smithsonian. In San Francisco, she exhibited in the '70s with the William Sawyer Gallery. In 1988 she co-authored and illustrated "Dress Smart" (Fairchild, New York), with a second edition in 2004. CELESTE BUTLER (b. Omaha, Nebraska) is a fiber and textile artist, storyteller, and Quiltologist, a term that captures Butler's holistic creative process and her investment in quilting as both artistic practice and lifestyle. DANCE DOYLE is an Oakland-based artist. Raised there during the '80s and '90s, they witnessed a gritty beauty that emerged from the city. That beautiful heavy environment has informed Doyle's work. They've never used a cartoon to aid her process. Doyle just draws a tiny picture, pins it to the castle of their loom, and works the rest out. Doyle has been an Artist-in-Resident at the Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn, New York, the Museum of Arts and Design in NYC, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska, Haystack Mountain School in Deer Isle, Maine, and at the Institute for Contemporary Art in San Francisco, California. While earning an MFA from California College of the Arts from 2021-2023, Doyle was awarded the Barclay Simpson, Murphy Cadogan, and the All-College Honors Award. Currently, Doyle is a Graduate Fellow at the Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito, California.

LORI ELLIOTT-BARTLE's path into art-making wound through journalism and higher education public relations before she began painting seriously. She has shown artwork in Omaha cooperative and commercial galleries and has had work accepted into regional and national juried shows. Her work is in private collections across the US and in several countries. Elliott-Bartle paints with oils, often mixed with cold wax medium. She uses rollers, wide blades, and brushes to apply paint; then blots, scrapes, and carves with knives and points to reveal underlying colors. These lines, colors, and textures convey motion and emotion. Elliott-Bartle's work was in the 2017 and 2019 Nebraska Artist Biennials. She has been an artist-in-residence at Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, Farwell House in Frederick, Illinois, & at the UNL's Cedar Point Biological Station in western Nebraska. She teaches workshops and is represented by Anderson O'Brien Fine Art. She holds a BS in journalism and an MA in social sciences.

LAURIE FRICK uses data to examine what we can know about ourselves. ALLEGRA HANGEN is a multidisciplinary artist, independent curator, and cultural organizer based in Mexico City and Omaha, Nebraska. KRISTINE HANSEN-CAIN received a BFA from the University of Nebraska and studied at the Corcoran School of Fine Arts in Washington, DC. ETHAN JONES is a middle school art teacher with a background in graphic design and illustration (working mainly in the music industry, creating album covers and tour merchandise for bands). He currently works in a variety of mediums including acrylic painting, printmaking, mixed-media collage, and pen and ink illustration. Jones has also written and illustrated a children's book, "The Art of the Bedtime," which was self-published and sold approximately 500 copies. The inspiration for his work is rooted in punk rock, album covers, skateboarding, and children's books. Most of the imagery Jones uses is an amalgamation of colorful scenes and characters that could belong in children's books, McDonaldland, horror/nightmares, and punk. Jones's work appears to be kid-friendly, but has very sinister undertones and strong elements of dark humor. Jones learned the basics of graphic design at the now-defunct, for-profit, joke of an art school, The Creative Center. Later, after playing in bands and touring around the US and Europe all through his twenties, Jones was a fine art major and received a bachelor's degree in art education from the University of Nebraska Omaha. His father was also a college art professor in Kansas (where Jones grew up) and Jones has been around art at galleries, museums, and at home for his entire life.

JEREMY JONES, originally from Casper, Wyoming, received a BFA in ceramics and sculpture from the University of Wyoming in 2006 and an MFA in sculpture from Wichita State University in 2012. Jones maintains a home studio in New Brighton, Minnesota, where he works in a plethora of mediums, including ceramics, casting, woodworking, welding, found-objects, and drawing. For over ten years, he has focused on a body of work that reflects his role as a parent, creating toy-like sculptures and assemblages that enshrine the everyday moments of parenthood. Jones is a ceramics instructor at Interact Center for the Visual and Performing Arts in St. Paul, Minnesota. Since 2023, Jones has been a Pottery and Wheel Work Instructor at Saint Paul Public Schools: Community Education in St. Paul, Minnesota.
"I work intuitively with clay, and utilize the plasticity of the material to create my haunting and gestural figures. My clay vessels are loosely formed with coils; I then push and pull the material until a face emerges. The faces seem to manifest from an unknown space, as if I'm channeling a "being" into existence. The void inside of the vessel symbolizes the consciousness: the vast, invisible, and largely unknown space of the mind."

BETHANY KALK is an artist, designer, and muralist. Her childhood was spent in Papua New Guinea, which influenced her love of pattern. She studied graphic design, painting, and drawing. JENNIFER LING DATCHUK is an artist born in Warren, Ohio and raised in Brooklyn, New York. JOSH POWELL is a mixed-media artist. He earned a BFA at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Powell is a visionary storyteller through his images. He is inspired by pop culture and folklore. THOMAS PRINZ is the principal of Arc-Studio, which is located in Omaha and was established in 1990 to explore the disciplines of art and architecture. COLIN SMITH's paintings and sculpture expand the conventions of painting. Beginning with the joys of material, color, and the graphic image, Smith's newest works are aggressive, buoyant, and difficult to classify. The wall works reference minimal painting and expressionism, yet their colors and forms are fully contemporary. The floor sculptures are playful and casual, yet their offhandedness belies a rigorous process and intentional mark making. Smith is interested in making works that charge retinal and interior spaces. They move when you squint and can throw you off-balance if you get too close. His abstractions have a liveliness and spirit that is rare in contemporary painting, particularly in works that contain such a restrained and focused bag of tricks. EVAN STOLER (b. 1993, Nebraska ) graduated from Denison University in Ohio with a BA in studio art and biology in 2016. Vallauris ceramics resident in France in 2017 and a PADA resident in Portugal in 2022. The Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards nominated Stoler as "Outstanding Emerging Visual Artist" in 2022. Stoler is currently represented by Anderson O'Brien Fine Arts in Omaha, Nebraska.

IGGY SUMNIK is well-known to the Omaha art community as a talented ceramic sculptor, artist, community arts educator, friend, and studio host. His many Omaha accomplishments include a Kaneko apprenticeship concluded in 2008. Iggy held connections between Omaha and his Detroit home where he maintained the Art By Iggy Studio full-time. His iconic works include jellybeans, stylized fish, birds (often on a wire), and other forms. Iggy's real love was creating imaginative, one-of-a-kind sculptures of unusual shape and statement; he left a legacy of sculptures when an illness unexpectedly took his life in 2023. Two pieces are presented here.
In Iggy's words, "My art merges the natural world and industry, not in a negative way, but in a more ambiguous and thought-provoking way. I like my audience to do a little thinking for themselves, so I tend not to give people the answer."

MICHAEL TEGLAND's artwork is deeply rooted in several cultural influences, especially his own Norse and Germanic heritage. This may account for his work's black on black palette and images of both obscure and familiar figures embedded or flowing in a web of geometric patterns. Tegland attended the University of Nebraska Omaha, where he studied fine arts. Equally influential was Tegland's thirty-year stint as chief preparator at Joslyn Art Museum. MARY ZICAFOOSE is a tapestry weaver who works from her rural Pahuk studio in Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska.
