SARA ALFIERI is from Lincoln, Nebraska and currently pursuing an MFA in ceramics. By using old and new mechanisms of working, digital fabrication in tandem with hand-built vessels allows her work to highlight resistances while finding ways to connect their potentials. The processes within her work remain critically important; its qualities are intrinsic to the expression of the object. Questioning the traditional method for mold-making used in industrial production, Alfieri seeks variety within her work. This sense of variety can be found through a modular mold system in which she deconstructs and reassembles mold parts produced from computer-aided design (CAD) developed prototypes. This, along with her colored slip application on plaster molds allows for variation in both form and surface. Moving from a digital to a physical space has allowed Alfieri to develop a duality of languages that can be translated to her designed pots. In short, Alfieri believes the pot exists beyond its purpose of utility. Through her most recent means of making, she is able to design and produce pots that investigate this idea. Pottery is meaningful in the way it allows for both personal expression and proximity between object and user. Alfieri is interested in pottery as an ingress to an experience. A pot solicits interaction, not just viewing. The meaning of a pot changes through experience, gaining content through use. By exploring the intersections between craft and design, she hopes to enhance the art and act of dining with a sense of complexity and intention in each piece's form and surface.

JON AUSTIN is a ceramic artist focused on natural and biomorphic forms. Austin has always been inspired by nature and can often be found outside drawing inspiration or eagerly awaiting spring during frigid Nebraska winters. JESS BENJAMIN's imagination was trained in the irrigation ditches on the 100th Meridian and was one of the last to be educated in a two-room schoolhouse. Benjamin now lives in the city and has gained a balanced perspective on our nation's water and drought issues. RAVEN HALFMOON is an artist and sculptor from Norman, Oklahoma. She is a citizen of the Caddo Nation and also Choctaw, Delaware, and Otoe Missouria. Working mainly in portraiture, Halfmoon hand-builds each work using a coil method. Her surfaces are expressive and show deep finger impressions and dramatic dripping glazes, a physicality that presences her as both maker and matter. She fuses Caddo pottery traditions-a history of making mostly done by women-with populist gestures, often tagging her work in a reference to Caddo tattooing.

Halfmoon holds a double bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas, where she majored in ceramics/painting and cultural anthropology. In 2023, Halfmoon's solo exhibition, Flags of Our Mothers, was featured at The Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art (Ridgefield, Connecticut) and in 2024 at Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. JUN KANEKO was born in Japan in 1942. He came to the United States in 1963 to study at Chouinard Institute of Art in Los Angeles, and became part of the Contemporary Ceramics movement in America in the late '60s and early '70s. The following decade, Kaneko taught at some of the nation's leading art schools including Scripps College, Rhode Island School of Design, and Cranbrook Academy of Art. Based in Omaha since 1986, Kaneko has worked at several experimental studios around the world. Over the course of his career he has partnered with industrial facilities to realize large-scale, hand-built sculptures. Kaneko is increasingly drawn to installations that promote civic interaction. He has completed over fifty public art commissions, including the most recent, Glass Tower, in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. AHN LEE (San Francisco, California) is a queer Cantonese artist and researcher. Their interdisciplinary ceramics practice is a combined methodology of autobiographical re-making and archival research on the Cantonese diaspora. Of Sunwui (Xinhui) descent, Lee explores their ancestral roots to this contested site of capitalism and imperialism through leveraging archival research, historiography, and critical race and gender theory. Though trained as an academic researcher, Lee aims to create with intuition, using critical history and personal narratives to imagine a current queer Cantonese futurity. Previously, Lee studied at UCLA as a Eugene V. Cota Robles Graduate Fellow. Lee is a 2022 MFA graduate of the UC Berkeley Art Practice Department. She received scholarships from Hungarian, Czech, Israeli, and Russian governments and the Ministry of Culture of Japan. Additionally, Ono has participated in residency programs world widely such as John Michael Kohler Arts Center, MASS MoCA, ISCP, Franconia Sculpture Park, BANFF Centre for Arts and Creativity, Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, Taipei Artist Village, Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park, Gyeonggi Creation Center, CCI Fabrika, Meet Factory, and many more. Ono was also awarded Franconia Sculpture Park Fellowship, TAVxMoCA Residency Program 2019, TOKAS Residency Program as well as grants from Yoshino Gypsum Art Foundation, and Asahi Shimbun Foundation and was selected as a finalist of CAF award. Regarding her exhibition experience, she has done a number of exhibitions both nationally and internationally. She has shown her work in private and national galleries such as her solo show Epitomes at MoCA Taipei, Organic Matter at Diem Phung Thi Museum, Peripeteia at Triumph Gallery, Utopia at Slag Gallery, NYC, Unbuilt at ARTHAUS, Moscow, group show Domani at The National Art Center in Tokyo as well as a number of international art festivals and symposiums such as BIWAKO Biennale, Taehwa River Eco Art Festival, International Creative Laboratory Bashnya, International Art Symposium Elements Cuisine, Kyoto Sento Art Festival. MAKENZIE RAYMUNDO (BURMEISTER) is a mixed-media artist and educator living and working in Omaha, Nebraska. Originally from Gretna, Nebraska, Raymundo earned her BFA in art education with a specialization in ceramics from the University of South Dakota in 2020. During her time in undergrad, she also played soccer for the university. Raymundo then advanced to graduate school where she earned her MFA in ceramics from Kansas State University in 2023, where she maintained a Graduate Teaching Assistantship. Currently, Raymundo is an instructor of ceramics, teaching at the University of Nebraska Omaha. RANDI RENATE is an MFA graduate of the Sculpture Department at the Yale School of Art, and the recipient of numerous fellowships including Socrates Sculpture Park in Queens, New York, Lighthouse Works on Fishers Island, New York, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska, Fountainhead in Miami, Florida, Vermont Studio Center, Vermont, Santa Fe Art Institute, New Mexico, and Sculpture Space, New York. Her 2021 permanent public sculpture, "blue is the atmospheric refraction I see you through," at the Adirondack History Museum was made in part by the 2021 New York State Council of the Arts DEC Community Arts Grant and featured in Interior Design Magazine. Featured in Sculpture Magazine is her most recent public sculpture in NYC for the 2022 Socrates Annual exhibition "Sink or Swim Climate Futures." Randi also produces the podcast CORALESCENCE: conversations highlighting the connection between art and science. These episodes are "studio visits" she conducts with scientists and other researchers in their fields, exploring a broad range of topics starting with coral restoration and ecology.

GARET REYNEK was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1986 and is currently based out of Omaha, Nebraska. He received a BA from Hastings College in ceramics and business in 2010, and as of 2018 Reynek earned a Masters in Fine Arts (ceramics) at Wichita State University. He has been a studio assistant to artists Jun Kaneko, Conrad Snider, and John Balistreri. Reynek has adjunct-taught at Butler Community College, Wichita State University, and Newman University. His works involve abstract ceramic sculptures derived from experiences and visions one may encounter when moving through urban environments. Reynek has been a resident artist at Watershed Center For Ceramics Arts and exhibited in Wichita's national juried exhibition and "Beyond the Brick Yard" tenth annual exhibition in Helena, Montana.

IREN TETE (Sofia, Bulgaria/San Diego, California) is a sculptor whose practice centers ceramic materials, architecture, and language. Investigating poetic and theoretical systems of thought, seeing, and navigation, her sculptures collapse language of the industrial-infrastructural and human-organic. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at the Sarasota Art Center (Sarasota, Florida), Union University (Jackson, Tennessee), Galleri Urbane (Dallas, Texas), and Gallery 371 (Calgary, Canada). TAKEMI TSURUTA was born and raised in Oakland, California. He received his BA from UC Davis in studio art and an MFA from Bowling Green State University with a focus on 3-D studio art. Tsuruta's ceramic art reflects his own Japanese-American experiences and the influence of his family's heritage. He has spent nearly two decades teaching art in higher education throughout California. More recently, Takemi relocated to Omaha to focus on his private studio practice.

JOAN WYAND, from Lebanon, Indiana, recently received her Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in Integrative Studio Practice at IU's Herron School of Art + Design. She received an undergraduate degree in Ceramics at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2005 and spent twenty formative years in Providence. Her social-minded experimental practice was recognized in 2012 as a recipient of AS220's Free Culture Award. She participated in the Venice International Performance Art Week Workshop that coincided with the Venice Biennale in 2017. Her work at Herron has been recognized with a Paul Zimmerman Fellowship, Graduate Teaching Fellowships, the 2024 Sherry Queener Award and a summer fellowship at Ox-Bow.

The pop aesthetic of Wyand's auction work is a tangent from her central research which explores how to use art to engage for change through participatory projects and installations.
