Sam is a Sri Lankan-American chef and recipe developer who blends Sri Lankan and Southern cuisines with delicious results. Her recipes have graced national publications, including her roasted tomato curry pie on the cover of Food & Wine in 2019.
Among Sam's other accolades: She was named one of Plate Magazine's Chefs to Watch (2018), one of Southern Living's inaugural Cooks of the Year (2020), and one of Taste of the South's Taste 50 (2022). She has cooked for "Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi and in Michelin-starred kitchens, and in 2023 was honored by the James Beard Foundation Awards as a Finalist for Best Chef: Southeast.
