"TO BUILD THE BEST COUNTRY CLUB IN NORTH AMERICA..." was the goal for the founders of Medinah Country Club. The storied history of the club centers around this commitment to excellence, a commitment enduring over 90 years. In the early 1920s the club's founders, a group of Shriner's from Chicago's Medinah Temple, sought to create a country retreat. Tom Bendelow, world-renowned Scottish course architect was retained to design the original three golf courses.

Fenwick alumnus and Hall of Fame member Chuck Wolande '72 will host three guests to join him at Medinah Country Club for one round of golf (on Course 1 or 2), lunch and great company.

Course #1
In September 1925, the Shriners enjoyed their first round of golf at Medinah on Course #1. In 2014 a redesign by famed course architect Tom Doak was completed.

Course #2
In 1926 construction on Course #2 was complete. Renowned course architect Rees Jones completed a restoration in 2017.

With spectacular vistas from high atop Lake Michigan's sand dunes, Long Beach Country Club has long been a weekend and summer favorite for Chicago area golfers. Less than a 90-minute drive from Chicago, this challenging course - with three par 3's in the first five holes (and three par 3's over 200 yards long) was originally designed by Dr. William Hall and opened in 1924. It has been upgraded, renovated, and improved many times over the years, but the majestic, century old stands of black and white oaks still stand, as do several of the smallish 1920's style greens with great bunkering.

Come celebrate the 100th anniversary of Long Beach Country Club with a day trip "around the bend" of Lake Michigan!

Established in 1913 at its current location, Ridgemoor Country Club is a classic Chicago golf course.
