Jacqueline Alcantara is a Chicago based illustrator and educator. She has worked with clients such as NPR, ACLU, Elle Decor, Obama Foundation and publishers including Penguin Random House, Macmillan, Simon & Schuster. Her books have received awards and multiple starred reviews and are in found in libraries, shops and classrooms around the world. Her 2024 book release is titled Jam, Too? (written by JaNay Brown-Wood) and embodies all that she loves most to draw-brown bodies, dance, movement, dogs, and tropical landscapes. Jacqueline is fueled by dance music, carbs and coffee, and has a boundless interest in learning new skills and taking on new challenges.
