General Information
Q: Where do proceeds go for the LBLA?
A: Generous gifts from alumni and friends of The W supporting MUWAA sponsored-events (like Magnolia Mingle and the Long Blue Line Auction!) benefit the greater MUW community with student scholarships, faculty grants, alumni awards and toward the current Shattuck Hall Renovation, the future Home of Alumni & Development.
Q: When does the auction take place?
A: Bidding opens at 5:00 pm CST on September 27th and closes at 5:00 pm CST on September 28th on our GiveSmart website, LBLA24.givesmart.com.
Q: Who can participate in the auction?
A: The Long Blue Line Auction is open to all alumni and friends of MUW.
Q: When is the deadline to donate items?
A: Mailing Deadline: September 23, 2024, by 5:00 pm CST
Drop-off Deadline on Campus: September 26th, 2024, by 5:00 pm CST
Registration and Bidding
Q: How do I register for the auction?
A: Step 1: Navigate to the lbla24.givesmart.com homepage.
Step 2: Click the orange Sign In/Register button in the top right corner.
If you have an account, enter your Username and Password. (Note if you participated in Magnolia Mingle, you would already have an account.)
Can't remember? Click the Forgot Username or Password link for reset instructions.
Step 3:To create an account, follow the easy steps and click the orange "Create my GiveSmart account" button.
Step 4: You'll receive a confirmation text from the app, and you are set!

Q: How can I find preview items?
A: Go to our GiveSmart homepage at lbla.24.givesmart.com and click "Item Previews."
Q: How can I become a champion?
A: Reach out to us at [email protected].
Q: How do I place a bid?
A: After registering, browse the auction items and click on the item you are interested in. Enter your bid amount and click "Place Bid". You will be notified if you are outbid.
Q: Is there a minimum bid amount?
A: Yes, each item has a starting bid and a minimum increment. These amounts are listed on the item's page.
Payment and Item Collection
Q: How do I pay for an item I won?
A: Once the auction ends, you will receive an email to check out and pay with the credit card on file.
Q: How will I receive the item I won?
A: You can choose to have the item shipped to you or pick it up on campus.
Donations and Contributions
Q: Can I donate items for the auction?
A: Yes, we welcome item donations! Please ship your items to campus at 1100 College St. MUW-1618, Columbus, MS 39701.
Q: How can I make a monetary donation to the Long Blue Line Auction?
A: You can make a monetary donation by clicking on the "Donate" button on our website. We appreciate your support!

A: Yes, you can update your name, phone number, password, and address by selecting your initial at the top right of the page and clicking "profile."
Q: Where can I opt back into texting?
A: Select your initials at the top right of the page and click on "profile" to opt back into texting.

Q: Are my bids legally binding?
A: Yes, by placing a bid, you are entering into a legally binding contract to purchase the item if you are the winning bidder.
Q: Can I retract a bid?
