Dear __________,
You are invited to Life in Color: Summer Brunch, Auction, & Fashion Show, Northwest Hope & Healing's signature event and fundraiser for 2024! I have purchased a table for ____ and I would love for you to join me at this unique event.
Northwest Hope & Healing is dedicated to providing immediate financial support to local patients undergoing treatment for breast and gynecologic cancers. Their grants allow cancer patients to afford gas, groceries, and rent, addressing an urgent need in our community. Northwest Hope & Healing was able to provide $225,000 in 2023, but the work doesn't stop there. Life in Color 2024 will include an exciting silent and live auction, as well as, a fashion show featuring brave and brilliant breast and gynecologic cancer survivors walking the runway in vibrant summer outfits. This is the can't-miss event of the season. Will you join me?

Talking Points About Northwest Hope & Healing (For Phone Invitations)
The work that Northwest Hope & Healing does is never finished! Local breast and gynecologic cancer patients need our help. Below is a list of some of the obstacles patients are facing:

  • Many families have lost their main sources of income as more and more people have had to go on unemployment in the past several years. The financial burden of cancer, coupled with this loss of income, leaves limited resources to pay for everyday basics like food and rent.
  • Cancer patients are immunocompromised individuals, which means that the health risk of taking public transportation has drastically increased for this population. As such, many have had to arrange for private transportation to and from treatment centers, adding the financial burden of gas and/or taxis.
  • With constant doctor appointments, many families have had to invest in childcare options, which can lead to increased financial stress.
  • A cancer diagnosis can trigger profound mental health struggles, leaving feelings of isolation and loneliness. Coping with the emotional burden while navigating the physical aspects of cancer treatment necessitates an approach that prioritizes mental health alongside medical care.
