About Barry and Shane
Barry is in his fifteenth year working at Kem Krest working as a product specialist lead. He has
been an assistant coach for Elkhart High School for both boys cross country and track. Barry is
also a volunteer for Junior Achievement teaching 5th grade. He has also been a reader for 11
years for Crossroads United. Shane has worked for Majority Builders in the excavation and site
work division. He is a past Grand Knight and District Deputy for the Knights of Columbus. Shane
was a 10 year member of the Greater Elkhart Chamber Leadership Steering Committee. He
also served six years as a member of the Greater Elkhart Chamber Board of Directors. Shane is
in his fourth year as an Elkhart County 4-H Fair Board member. Barry and Shane met while
serving on the Leadership Steering Committee, and their bold personalities came together like
the bold flavors of this delicious cocktail.
Why we love to support JA!
JA does a great job to groom young adults on how to provide products and services for the
community. It also teaches kids to be self-reliant, resourceful, and adaptable in the ever
changing world. It offers opportunities for youth in Elkhart Community Schools and also
surrounding communities.
