Prior to joining the Greenwich Marlins, Bill Walsh was Head Coach at Gael Aquatic Club for 5 years and Club Fit Briarcliff for one season. He oversaw all age groups and was responsible for all administrative duties. He also spent 6 seasons as Assistant Age Group Coach with the Gael Aquatic Club from 2008-2014. Bill has coached numerous Senior Met, Junior Olympic, Eastern Zone, SPEEDO Sectional, Futures and Junior Nationals Qualifiers, as well as Metropolitan Junior Olympic Champions.

In the summer, Bill will be the Head Coach at Roxbury Swim and Tennis Club. Prior to this summer Bill has coached numerous Westchester County champions and Westchester County Swim Conference champions as well as High Point Award winners at Counties and Conferences.

Bill attended Notre Dame High School in West Haven, CT where he was a part of three Connecticut State Championship Teams and gained All-State and All American honors in his senior year. After high school, he continued his swimming career at Iona College, where he scored at the MAAC Championships throughout his four years of eligibility. Bill excelled in the 100, 200 Fly and 200, 500 Freestyles, and received the most dedicated award in his Sophomore, Junior and Senior seasons and was named captain in his Senior year.

Maureen Arnold joins the Marlins this year after a successful season at the Coveleigh Club. Maureen is a native to Westchester County with a long history of diving success both as a competitive diver and coach. She began her diving career as a 12-year-old competing for Orienta Beach Club winning the 13 & U Westchester County Championship her first year and again at 17 during her final year of summer diving.

Two half hour lessons or one hour with Coach Steve.

Steve is a former varsity swimmer and record holder at Columbia University where he specialized in the 100 and 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly. He returned to coaching in 2016/17 after a successful career as a corporate lawyer, serving as the assistant coach of the high school varsity teams at Iona Prep and Sacred Heart of Greenwich. In 2017/18, as head coach, he guided the Gaels to a 4-1 Division Record (5-4 overall). In the summer, he serves as head coach at the Bailiwick Swim and Tennis Club in Greenwich. In addition to coaching, Steve has competed as a Masters swimmer for over 20 years finishing as high as 3rd at Nationals in the 100 fly and 100 back. He holds a level 2 coaching certification.

This is Steve's fourth year with the Marlins. He also coaches at Innis Arden Golf Club and is a YMCA Masters Swimmer.

A one hour lesson with Coach Gabe.

Gabriel began playing water polo at the age of ten in the State of Lara, Venezuela. He started his career as a goalkeeper and managed to be in the #1 goalie in his country for several years. He then became a field player, where he won Gold in the National Championships. He participated in the National League of water polo of Venezuela, remaining in the 3 first places in each time.

Currently continuing to demonstrate his great abilities as a player with the Greenwich Aquatics Masters team participating in the different tournaments in the region, he is also a CWPA certified referee and continues to develop such work, now with 22 years of experience in water polo he has been part of our coaches since 2016.

Coach Paul Constantin grew up playing water polo as a youngster in Romania. He earned a degree in environmental engineering in Romania, then moved to Germany, where he worked for several companies. It was in Germany (Berlin) where he met his wife, a Greenwich native.

Paul coached at CPAC before moving over to Greenwich Aquatics. Paul is also the coach for Greenwich High School women's team.

Paul spent his career as a goalie.

Coach Ulmis began playing water polo at the age of 5 in Bucharest. From 1997 to 1999 he played for C.S. Steaua Bucharest and participated as a 1997 Romanian Cup '84-'85 Winner; 1998 National Championship '82-'83 Runner-up; 1999 Romanian Cup '84-'85 Winner; 1999 Winner of Tanaka Cup; and 1999 National Championship '82-'83 Winner. From 2000 to 2002, Ulmis played for LER Steaua. He was the 2000 Romanian Cup '83-'84 Winner; 2001 National Champion '84-'85 Third Place finisher; and 2002 National Championship '84-'85 Winner. On the Romanian National Team in 1999 to 2002 '83-'84, Ulmis played in the qualifying of the European Championship in Belgrade and was winner of the Belcan Cup in 2000. He also played for Sportul Stundentes c in 2002 to 2003.

Ulmis has been with Greenwich Aquatics since the program started in 2007.

Ilija has been a Water Polo Coach for over 7 years and has been awarded the Dick Russell Coach of the Year in 2022.

As a former Water Polo athlete and competitor, Ilija is passionate about mentoring young student-athletes to be successful, academically and in the water.

Ilija joined the Greenwich Aquatics team of coaches in 2023.

Kennedy brought almost 15 years of elite level competitive swim coaching experience to the YMCA of Greenwich when he arrived in January. He was the Head Senior/Age-Group Coach at Texas Ford Aquatics in Frisco, Texas, where he had been coaching since 2015.

Prior to TFA, Kennedy coached for the City of Plano Swimmers and Metroplex Aquatics. His accomplishments include coaching swimmers to top 100 All-Time in age group rankings; Texas State Championships; Futures, summer and Junior Nationals; as well as the Olympic Trials.
