Captain Steve Schwartz has been sailing on the Woody since 1978. He is licensed by the Coast Guard to sail a 100 ton vessel. Steve is an adjunct professor of sailing at Marist College and is knowledgeable about all things Hudson River.

You are bidding on a 2 to 3-hour boat ride on the Hudson River for two people. Glenn Hoagland will team up with Clearwater Executive Director David Toman to provide interpretive and historical information about the Hudson as you enjoy the ride.

Formerly Land Preservation Director at Scenic Hudson, Glenn has been boating on the Hudson for 40 years. He recently downsized to a 20-foot recreational passenger boat that is comfortable but has a lower carbon footprint than his previous vessel. Glenn is certified in boating safety by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and New York State/NASBLA. Glenn's boat is also fully ensured and safety-equipped, and life jackets are available for passengers desiring one. Scenery along the ride will include the Great Estates Scenic and Historic District, riverfront parks, working lighthouses, ecologically rich shorelines, islands, bays, tributaries, and other important landscapes.
