Ceramic Vase with Sturgeon
$200You are bidding on a handmade ceramic vase featuring Sturgeon.
This beautiful ceramic vase was created by Dale Wolfield, an accomplished ceramist and former art educator. The vase is wheel thrown using brown stoneware clay. Dale relief carves the design into the clay while it is still moist. Her intricate designs take many hours to plan and execute. The vase depicts a pattern of sturgeon, an iconic Hudson River fish. It stands about 10 inches tall and is stained with Barnard clay and finished with a rutile yellow glaze. Dale credits Chris Bowser, former Clearwater educator, for her inspiration.
Dale lives in Port Ewen and creates at the Kingston Ceramics Studio in Kingston. Her work is available year round at Newberry Artisan Market located on Main Street in Saugerties. To see more off her work email Dale at dwolfield@gmail.com.

Loon Collage

Katherine lives in the Hudson Valley and has been making charming collages for many years. She was the site manager of the Byrdcliffe artist retreat in Woodstock for thirteen summers, and there she developed her skill with scissors and paper. Katherine has a deep love of the natural world and that is reflected in her work. Her colorful collages feature cats, birds, dogs and woodland scenes. Kayak the Hudson

The best way to appreciate the River is to get out on the water! Hudson River Recreation has been leading kayaking tours on the River in the Westchester area since 1998. They are based in Croton-on-Hudson and put in at Croton Point Park, Tarrytown Lakes, Sleepy Hollow or Rye Town Beach, and Croton River. You are bidding on a credit worth $200 for the trip of your choice. If you are an experienced paddler, you can rent kayaks or paddle boards and go out on your own. HRR also offers guided trips, group or private lessons, and special occasion trips such as moonlight paddles.

Hudson Valley Shakespeare

The interior of the home is newly renovated with wooden floors, cathedral ceilings, a gas fireplace and large windows to let in the light. Sit on the extended deck and watch the sunset or go swimming or kayaking off the floating dock. The house is located on South Bay, an estuary flowing into Penobscot Bay. We are 15 minutes from Blue Hill, a charming town with many shops, and about an hour from Acadia. The Holbrook Nature Preserve with many hiking trails is nearby.
Please note that the house has limited availability. The house is available for a few weeks in June, some weeks in September or any week in October.

Morning Fog on the Hudson
