The 35th Annual CAPS Benefit Auction features a collection of hand-made jewelry designed by Becky Gassman. Becky created a company, Vine Creek Jewelry, with the slogan "Handmade, original jewelry at an affordable price" when she retired from her full-time job as a social worker.
Becky entered eternal rest back in November of 2023. Becky was a special, cherished friend of CAPS and her family donated all the jewelry in the lots of "Becky Gassman Originals" that are up for bid in this year's CAPS Auction. (Listings 200-210)
Becky's career as a social worker in Kansas spans over 40 years. She became involved with CAPS in the late 90's and served in numerous capacities over the years. She was a former employee, former board member, pioneer of the Child Advocacy Center at its inception, and her most recent capacity was as a CASA Volunteer. Becky will always be remembered as a fierce advocate for children. Becky had just completed her last CASA case two weeks before she died. She worked tirelessly on that case and went above & beyond for this youth. Becky was exceptional as a CASA Volunteer and with anything she devoted her time and attention to. Becky holds a special place here at CAPS.
