Join Professional Dimensions Charitable Fund Chair Rebecca (Becky) Stoner in a make-your-own jam session! Becky Stoner received a certificate in Master Food Preservation and can share with you, and a group of up to 6 total individuals, how to properly cook and can jam for safe storage for months. Becky will provide wine, nonalcoholic beverages and charcuterie for the group as well as all of the supplies needed for canning. Participants will be "hands on" throughout the entire process and will learn food safety techniques along the way. All participants take home two half pints or full pints of jam depending on the jam selection.

Suggested jam flavors: blueberry lime jam, raspberry jam, apple butter, habanero-apricot jelly. Can discuss and agree on the jam flavor ahead of the date.
Please note: Perfect results not guaranteed because jam can be finicky, especially for a first-time group. Fun and learning guaranteed.

The mission of the Descendant Community of Milwaukee County Grounds Cemeteries, Inc. is to provide programs and projects serving the individuals and families whose ancestors were buried at Milwaukee County Grounds Cemeteries, and those seeking to understand the history at the County Grounds. Those individuals buried at the cemeteries were marginalized because of indigence, disability or unknown identity at time of death, and were not properly memorialized.
