This 12''x12'' acrylic painting is from Heidi Barta, who shares, "I grew up and lived in Wisconsin my entire life. Art has always been a fun hobby for me, even when I was little. I was always coloring and crafting, and knew I wanted to find a career in art "when I grew up." After graduating from UW-Green Bay with a degree in Art, I now work as a graphic artist. In my free time, I still enjoy crafting, painting, and drawing. Wisconsin is a very pretty state and I enjoy visiting its many parks and hiking. Nature will often times find its way into my artwork, like in this painting of Squirrel Lake in Minocqua, WI. When my aunt Jeanne reached out to me asking if I would create something for the Curative Connections Art Fundraiser, I remembered a photograph from a summer vacation years ago at this lake. That photograph is what I used for a subject matter in this painting."
