Village Arts Theater is the heart of the children's arts community in the Valley Village area. We offer year-round arts programs after school, on weekends, and during the summer. We are a safe space where children feel empowered to experiment, grow, and develop. Our arts center is located at Faith Presbyterian Church of Valley Village, and we also offer programs at Colfax Charter Elementary School and other independent schools in the North Hollywood area. Our performance and visual arts programs serve a diverse population of students, and we offer scholarships to families in need. We collaborate with local artists to help teach and create programming. We are currently developing design and technical theatre programs with local schools and professional local designers.

USS Midway Museum

The USS Midway was the longest-serving aircraft carrier in the 20th century. Named after the climactic Battle of Midway of June 1942, Midway was built in only 17 months, but missed World War II by one week when commissioned on September 10, 1945. Midway was the first in a three-ship class of large carriers that featured an armored flight deck and a powerful air group of 120 planes. It played key roles in the Cold War, Vietnam, and Operation Desert Storm.

Midway also served with the Atlantic Fleet for ten years, making seven deployments to European waters, patrolling "the soft underbelly" of NATO.

On April 11, 1992 the Midway was decommissioned in San Diego and remained in storage in Bremerton, Washington until 2003 when it was donated to the 501(c)3 nonprofit San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum organization. It opened as the USS Midway Museum in June 2004.

Horton decides he must protect the speck of dust on a nearby clover, while at the same time protecting an abandoned egg left in his care by the lazy Mayzie la Bird. Horton tries to convince the other animals in The Jungle of the existence of the Whos, but he is ridiculed and put on trial for insanity. Only his loyal neighbor, Gertrude McFuzz, never loses faith in him. Eventually, the two fall in love. Originally produced by One More Productions in 2008, Seussical, weaves a beautiful story of friendship, loyalty, and love and teaches us the power of being unique, and the importance of fighting for your beliefs. About Benning Violins - The Shop

For six decades Benning Violins has been serving the West Coast musical community at our celebrated shop on storied Ventura Boulevard in the heart of Studio City in Los Angeles.

Our unique building was constructed in 1952 by Paul Toenniges and called Studio City Music, which sold not only instruments crafted by Toenniges, but drums, brass, woodwinds and everything musical under the sun.

After Toenniges' retirement in 1978, Hans and Nancy Benning remodeled the building and retooled it as a violin shop focused on new making and sales, repair and restoration of fine stringed instruments.

The climate-controlled studio was again renovated in 1999 with mahogany flooring. It features three inviting showrooms of over 500 instruments, a retail space with a complete line of strings, cases and accessories and two private rooms for trialing instruments.

Walls are lined with unique stringed, bowed instruments as well as photos and portraits of celebrated artists who have been associated with Benning Violins including Ruggiero Ricci, Joshua Bell and Jascha Heifetz.

Our performance room seats 70 and features a Yamaha baby grand piano and raised stage. It has been used to stage recitals, clinics, exhibitions and master classes.

Our on-site, Old-World-inspired workshop features four workbench stations for new instrument making, repairs, restorations, and bow maintenance.
