HONOREES

KENNETH WRIGHT AND JULIE HATFIELD
Wright & Co. Construction, Inc.

Kenneth Wright    Julie Hatfield

Kenneth Wright, Founding Partner of Wright & Co., and Julie Hatfield, President, have been supporting The Retreat for approximately 30 years, and they come to it from divergent paths.

Ken's wife, Megan was a nurse practitioner at Planned Parenthood and cared for many of the shelter's clients; while Julie's mother, Ann Chwatsky, was an early board member. Together their interest in The Retreat and running a male-dominated industry, The Retreat became a focus of their philanthropy.

Ken Wright is founder of Wright & Co., where he has for over 35 years assisted clients, designers and architects in bringing their visions to life. Ken was born and grew up in Southampton. He graduated from Columbia College in New York City, and soon after took an interest in building. He moved back home in 1983 to found what is today Wright & Company Construction. His goal has been consistent from the start; to build a company that would keep paramount the needs of its clients while at the same time providing a safe and respectful working environment for its employees. He loves his work!

Ken has also been a driving force behind many local charitable organizations. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Southampton Hospital Association and has previously served on the boards of the Parrish Art Museum and the Southampton Day Care Center.

Julie Hatfield is President of Wright & Company Construction. She has a strong appreciation for integrity of design, having graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Design with a Masters in Architectural Design. She is extremely proud to be a female pioneer/leader in the industry and wants to do the best for the design team, clients and her employees.

Julie and her husband Steve have raised their children in Sag Harbor. She is very active in the community, having served on a number of boards in her hometown of Sag Harbor and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Retreat and the Construction Career Charitable Fund. Her strong values and work ethic make her a role model for her friends, home family and work family.
