Weller Full Proof Antique Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
114°, 2022 release
A wheated bourbon with full-bodied flavor and a balanced palate, Weller Antique is bottled at 114 entry
proof, offering a complex taste and bold finish. It's certainly a recognizable member of the Weller label,
with its own unique characteristics to compliment the high proof. The spirit is perfectly balanced and
rich, as so endeavored years ago by William Larue Weller, a man who knew how great bourbon should
taste.
The nose brings notes of coffee cake, dry-seasoned oak, caramel and cinnamon. On the palate is a bold, yet balanced medley of caramel, vanilla, and barrel char with spicy undertones. A long and warm
cinnamon finish turns sweet with the linger of brown sugar and caramel. This bottling can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or would mix perfectly in an old fashioned.
This limited-release single barrel bourbon has received several awards, including, a 2020 Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Cedar Ridge Double Barrel Iowa Bourbon Whiskey
105°, twice-aged, 2023 limited release, batch 003, bottle no. 491
To create a unique, double-aged expression of its popular bourbon, Iowa's Cedar Ridge Distillery transferred its original straight bourbon into a second, new American oak barrel, capturing further flavor from the freshly-charred staves. With a mashbill consisting of 74% Iowa corn, 14% malted rye and 12%
two-row malted barley, this is the second Double-Barrel bourbon release to be offered by Iowa's first and oldest distillery.
The result is a smooth, well-composed bourbon which is a richly darkened amber in color, exudes aromas of caramel fruit cake, corn pudding, vanilla toffee and rhubarb on the nose with a satiny, crisp
medium-to-full body, and amusing finish of spiced peaches, pineapples, nuts and minerals.
A craft distillery located in Swisher, Iowa, the Cedar Ridge Distillery was named "2017 Distillery of the Year" by the American Distilling Institute.
