Thorpe's works are associated with a principle of "Art from the heart" - combining tenderness with fervency through his abstract depictions of animals and children. Wayne Chang is a contemporary American artist based in Los Angeles, California and has been focusing on the urban landscape and its impact on the human condition. His recent body of work began when he moved to Los Angeles in 2007 as he fell into in a love-hate relationship with the city. He focused on the city's stark contrasts and constant tension between the rich and poor, real and fake, sun and smog, crowded and alone. Based on these themes, Wayne creates a narrative that captures the city's mystique and beauty with its social ills and economic disparity. He juxtaposes familiar images of everyday life in an unnatural way to play with people's expectations.

Born and raised in East Village, New York, Wayne began at an early age, painting everything he observed in the city. As a completely self taught painter, Wayne studied a wide range of artists, finding inspiration from classical renaissance masters to today's comic illustrators.

Caroline has been drawing since she could hold a pencil. She draws, inks and colors most of the comics here on Luline Comics. She draws all the comics out by hand using a combination of ink pens and watercolor brush pens. Caroline studied filmmaking throughout her academic career, earning a Film Production undergrad degree at Drexel University and a Cinema Studies grad degree at NYU. Caroline moved out to Los Angeles in 2013 to work in the entertainment industry, where she was primarily a VFX Coordinator and Producer. She translated what she learned about visual storytelling into comics, and enjoys the ability to both incorporate her love of art and drawing into telling visual stories (and being able to do this from the couch while watching TV certainly doesn't hurt). She is still based in LA, where she works at USC School of Cinematic Arts as an Internship Coordinator. When she's not working or drawing, Caroline likes to read, run, volunteer at Kitten Rescue in Atwater Village, and watch lots of movies/TV (and if she can draw while she does, even better.)

She developed a love for French Impressionism, and when she retired in 2014, she returned to taking art classes at Saddleback College in Mixed Media. She is currently a member of The Orange County Fine Art Association.

I create my Art to be a fun, whimsical adventure. My goal is to make you smile and draw you into a colorful adventure. My process begins with images that I have either created or found. I then alternate between fixing my images to my canvas and painting until I see the color harmony and balance that I am trying to convey. My paintings are inspired by my love for animals, collage and photography. Especially cats, dogs and butterflies. My feeling about butterflies is "the more the merrier". I love to play with scale and perspective.
