Susan Dunkerley's images are compilations of items gathered from nature combined with common domestic items associated with woman's work: i.e. a pair of scissors, a broken piece of china, a fork, a female figurine.

She has had solo exhibitions throughout the US. Her work was included in the New York/Paris Print Exchange and has been seen in shows in the Brooklyn Museum of Art, NY; Muséum Nationale d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris; Fotogalerie Wien, Vienna; and Amerika Haus, Munich as well as many other galleries and museums. Her work can be found in the collections of The Museum of Fine Art, Houston; Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

My submitted work is from my Final Dress and Screen Shot Series.

These works capture moments in time from both live and broadcast media events.

I use the light, color and motion to create slightly blurry abstract images that evoke different thoughts and ideas for the viewers.

My photographs document the time captured that form these images of these travelers in time and space.

From the staticky "snow" on a television screen when a signal is not connecting to the bright colors of most programs, the television as a medium is a diverse pallet, which conjures up different thoughts and memories for each individual viewer. My photographs document the momentum and colorful moments.
