The 65th Annual Acres of Diamonds Gala Was a Sold-Out Success!
More than 1,200 guests gathered on Saturday, May 12, 2018, for the 65th Annual Acres of Diamonds Gala at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.
With generous support from sponsors, friends, and guests, Philly's black-tie night out for healing, hope and wellness raised over $1.42 million for Temple University Hospital's vital, lifesaving work supporting advances in medicine and access to care for all who need it.
Accompanied by a rousing trumpet fanfare, Emcee Lauren Hart opened the evening welcoming the sold-out crowd, which included regional leaders, philanthropists and ardent hospital champions, including Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, University President Richard M. Englert and University Chairman Patrick O'Connor.

Started off by Temple University Trustee Dan Polett and his wife Margo, guests were especially enthusiastic during a special appeal for Temple's Transplant Program, collectively donating $325,000 to directly support patients and families.
Closing the evening with a private concert by five-time Grammy Award-winning musician Michael McDonald and dancing until midnight, this year's Acres of Diamonds Gala was another record-breaking success.
If you missed the Gala, there's still time to make a donation in support of Temple University Hospital!
#ShineBright, and see you next year!
