Tonight's cookies are in celebration of ICD's Great Gatsby Dinner Auction and includes two dozen Gatsby-themed cookies.

The Cookie Devotion creates elaborate and tasty cookies for many occasions such as weddings, baby and bridal showers, birthdays, graduations, teacher gifts, and holidays.

Before shipping, each cookie will be heat sealed in a cello bag
and wrapped in bubble wrap. (Mini cookies will be placed in a cello bag containing 3-5 mini cookies and then wrapped in bubble wrap.) The wrapped cookies will be packaged in a bakery box and then packaged in a shipping box. Cookies are then shipped via USPS Express.

Theodore Samuel Williams (August 30, 1918 - July 5, 2002) was an American professional baseball player and manager. He played his entire 19-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career as a left fielder for the Boston Red Sox from 1939 to 1942 and 1946 to 1960, excepting service time during World War II and the Korean War. Nicknamed "The Kid", "The Splendid Splinter", "Teddy Ballgame", "The Thumper" and "The Greatest Hitter Who Ever Lived", Williams is regarded as one of the greatest players in baseball history. Williams was also an outstanding fielder, especially in the difficult left field of Fenway Park in Boston, where he played his entire Major League career at that position.

Musial played 22 seasons in the big leagues all with the St. Louis Cardinals. Originally a Class C pitcher, Musial transformed into a dominating outfielder winning seven NL batting titles with his famous corkscrew stance. A 3-Time NL MVP, Musial played in 24 All-Star Games and won 3 World Series Championships in 1942, 1944 and 1946. Musial was elected to Baseballs Hall of Fame in 1969, and is also a member of baseballs All-Century team.

Authentic Ben McLemore signed and inscribed red Kansas basketball jersey with a signed 8x10 photo.

Ben grew up in St. Louis and attended Wellston High School. McLemore played high school basketball at Wellston High School in St. Louis, Missouri for three years, before his school was shut down in 2010. He then attended both Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia and Christian Life Center in Humble, Texas during his senior year of high school.

After committing to Kansas, McLemore was deemed ineligible to play by the NCAA because he attended multiple high schools, resulting in his transcripts being "a little fuzzy". He was allowed to practice with the team and take part in team activities starting in the second semester of the school year.

At the beginning of his college career, McLemore was considered to be either a late first-round or early second-round prospect. However, during his first season as a redshirt freshman, McLemore averaged 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists, with 50.7% shooting from the field and 86.7% shooting from the foul line,and was named a finalist for the John R. Wooden Award.

After declaring for the 2013 NBA Draft, allegations arose that NBA agent Rodney Blackstock had given thousands of dollars in impermissible benefits to McLemore's AAU coach, Darius Cobb, in exchange for Cobb steering McLemore toward certain financial advisers and NBA agents. Lending credence to Cobb's allegations, McLemore had Blackstock on his guest pass list for at least three Kansas home games that season, and subsequently signed Blackstock as his NBA agent. This set of facts caused the launch of an NCAA investigation to determine whether or not Kansas will have to vacate the basketball games in which McLemore played.

Considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, McLemore was listed as the No. 9 shooting guard and the No. 34 player in the nation in 2011.

Willie Howard Mays, Jr. (born May 6, 1931), nicknamed "The Say Hey Kid", is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) center fielder who spent almost all of his 22-season career playing for the New York and San Francisco Giants, before finishing with the New York Mets. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979, his first year of eligibility.

Mays won two National League (NL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards, ended his career with 660 home runs - third at the time of his retirement and currently fifth all-time - and won a record-tying 12 Gold Glove awards beginning in 1957 when the award was introduced.

Mays shares the record of most appearances in the All-Star Games, 24, with Hank Aaron and Stan Musial. In appreciation of his All-Star record, Ted Williams said "They invented the All-Star Game for Willie Mays."

Albert Fred "Red" Schoendienst, born February 2, 1923, is an American Major League Baseball (MLB) coach, and former player and manager. An outstanding second baseman, he played for 19 years with the St. Louis Cardinals (1945-56, 1961-63), New York Giants (1956-57) and Milwaukee Braves (1957-60), and was named to 10 All Star teams. He then managed the Cardinals from 1965 through 1976 - the second-longest managerial tenure in the team's history (behind Tony La Russa). Under his direction, St. Louis won the 1967 and 1968 National League pennants and the 1967 World Series, and he was named National League Manager of the Year in both 1967 and 1968. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989. Schoendienst remains with the Cardinals as a special assistant coach; as of 2016 he has worn a Major League uniform as a player, coach, or manager for 71 consecutive seasons.

Bob Gibson World Series signed Baseball.

All empires must eventually come to an end, but the St. Louis Cardinals needed every ounce of effort to topple baseball's greatest dynasty.

The 1964 World Series marked a turning point in the history of the game. It was the last Fall Classic for Hall of Fame legends Whitey Ford and Mickey Mantle, the leaders of a New York Yankees club that had won 15 American League pennants in 18 years and 10 world championships.

The power of those Yankees clubs was challenged by a young Cardinals squad in October 1964. St. Louis punched its ticket to the World Series after sitting 6 ½ games back of first place with 12 games left in the regular season.

The Cardinals forced their way back into the pennant race thanks to a heroic effort from their ace pitcher, Bob Gibson. Beginning on Aug. 24, Gibson started 10 games, pitched 87 2/3rds of a possible 90 innings and posted a 1.65 earned-run average.

On the final day of the regular season, with his team locked in a tight contest with the last-place New York Mets, Cardinals manager Johnny Keane brought Gibson on in relief. Pitching on two days rest, Gibson muscled out four innings of two-run ball and led the Redbirds to an 11-5 victory and the NL pennant.

Gibson's effort that day was emblematic of his reputation as one of baseball's fiercest competitors.

Arnold Daniel Palmer (September 10, 1929 - September 25, 2016) was an American professional golfer who is generally regarded as one of the greatest players in the sport's history. Dating back to 1955, he won numerous events on both the PGA Tour and the circuit now known as PGA Tour Champions. Nicknamed The King, he was one of golf's most popular stars and its most important trailblazer, the first superstar of the sport's television age, which began in the 1950s.

Palmer's social impact on behalf of golf was perhaps unrivaled among fellow professionals; his humble background and plain-spoken popularity helped change the perception of golf as an elite, upper-class pastime to a more populist sport accessible to middle and working classes. Palmer was part of "The Big Three" in golf during the 1960s, along with Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, who are widely credited with popularizing and commercializing the sport around the world.

In a career that spanned more than six decades, he won 62 PGA Tour titles from 1955 to 1973, placing him at that time behind only Sam Snead and Ben Hogan, and still fifth on the Tour's all-time victory list. He collected seven major titles in a six-plus-year domination, from the 1958 Masters to the 1964 Masters. He also won the PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998, and in 1974 was one of the 13 original inductees into the World Golf Hall of Fame.

St. Louis Cardinal utility player Specs Torporcer became the manager of the St. Louis Farm Team, the Rochester Red Wings. While in Rochester, Specs developed a relationship with a new upstart company called the Eastman Kodak Company. While at an old-timers game in 1946, at Fenway Park, Specs captured the only known true color photographs of the Great Bambino, George Herman "Babe" Ruth.

This is not a computer retouched tint from an original black and white photograph. This is a limited reproduction of one of the only two known true color photographs of Babe Ruth.

WHITMOOR COUNTRY CLUB

You and three of your guest are invited to take on the pines and 10 lakes of Whitmoor Country Club!

At Whitmoor Country Club, you will find beautifully maintained courses, designed by Karl Litten in 1988. Litten, a Florida architect, is well known for courses he designed in Florida, as well as for designing Dubai's Emirates Golf Club which was among the first grass courses in the Middle East. The North and South courses weave through a community of gracious homes and along gentle hillsides shaded by statuesque maples, white pines, oaks and birches. Watch as creeks meander throughout both courses connecting Whitmoor's 10 lakes.

The North is a par-71, slightly shorter than its big brother, the par-72 South, but both share many similarities: lots of hilly fairways, plentiful doglegs and exciting water shots. This gorgeous custom made wine barrel table was created by one of our very own parishioners, Joe Candela. If Joe sounds familiar to you, it's because he creates our custom made fire pit every year as well!

This barrel table is made from an oak wine barrel . The table top is 1-1/2" thick and is covered with a custom 1/4" thick, polished steel wildlife scenery...topped with 1/4" tempered glass. The table also includes remote controlled LED lights and requires electricity. It stands 39" tall and is 44" in diameter. This table is for indoor use only.
