Enjoy this 16.5" x 6" scale bark hickory vase by Ken Gaidos. Ken Gaidos produces beautiful wooden bowls, vases, hollow forms and abstract pieces of art in the beautiful rolling hills of Middle Tennessee. Ken got his inspiration from "The New Yankee Workshop" one Saturday afternoon. Norm Abrams went into the woods, cut a chunk of log, brought it back into the workshop, split it in half and out of one-half he turned a bowl on his lathe. Ken said, 'I can do that' so he went out on the farm and found an ash log that had been lying there for years. He cut off a foot long section with my chain saw, cut it in half, screwed on a faceplate, mounted it on my Home Depot Rigid Lathe, got a Sears turning gauge and turned his first bowl in 2003. *Valued at $295 Ken Gaidos
