Coming home from war is not easy. Through a partnership with Weill Cornell Medical College, the Headstrong Project provides cost-free, bureaucracy-free, and confidential mental healthcare treatment to Iraq and Afghanistan combat veterans.
Nearly 400,000 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans report symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder as of December 31, 2014. The VA estimates we lose 20 veterans a day to suicide with 41% higher risk of suicide for deployed veterans compared to the general U.S. population.
