During the heyday of passenger trains, there was a summertime special operated by the Boston & Maine Railroad known as "The East Wind." This train took vacationers from the Baltimore/Washington, Philadelphia, and New York City area up into New England as a way to increase tourist traffic during the summer months. Now you and 11 others can enjoy an excursion with this wonderful train operating in 1/8th scale. You'll ride behind an actual coal fired live steam locomotive that was modeled after the prototype of Boston & Maine #3712 "The East Wind." The East Wind operates as part of the Lake Shore Live Steamers railroad club out at Penitentiary Glen Reservation in Kirtland, Ohio.
