HYENA, MOUSE AND ANTS by Tony Collias Acrylic on canvas 72"x 60" These two paintings are part of an animal series I have been working on for the past four years. In these paintings the animals act as an anchor for each piece. I use the lines that form the image of the animal to work within and against. My hope is that the end picture is an accumulation of colors, shapes, drips, and whatever else is left over from a process of repainting and rethinking. Artist Tony Collias completed a B.A. in English at Western Michigan University in 1996. He is a self-taught painter in a representational style.
