PSYCHOLOGICAL LOCKS
by Lissa Karpeh,
Oil and Acrylic on canvas 54"x72"
The following painting is from a series of paintings called Finding Complacency. The work was completed in 2015. The painting is about the killing of true self-expression in today's women. I am a 23 year old, Liberian-American painter, based in Minnesota. I create undeveloped works of art on large canvas. I use oil, charcoal and acrylic in some areas and leave other areas with just raw canvas. My work explores emptiness, potential, struggle and the relationships between them. I am most interested in the process of making from these ideas.
FMV: $1,500
