This is a rotating mild steel sculpture with three pyramidal facets depicting abstract features of summer (growing branches), fall (leaves), and winter (snowflakes). Intentionally absent is a fourth facet depicting spring (since Minnesota lacks a spring).
The piece is welded from three scraps obtained from Len's Iron in Dodge Center and mounted on a Timken bearing which allows it to rotate freely. Inside the sculpture are oil-on-canvas colors seen through the abstract plasma cuts of the three facets. The patina is wheel-buffed and waxed (intended for indoor display only).
The sculpture measures 10 x 10 x 12 inches. The sculpture is original and unique; no copies or maquettes exist.
