Mallory Whorton & Nick Whorton

Nick Whorton is a native of Cartersville and is a proud graduate of Cartersville High School (Go Canes)! Nick has been married to his high school sweetheart, Madison, for 9 years and they have two beautiful children together - Graylin (5), a current student at Cartersville Primary School, and Joey (2). He is currently the Director of Practice Operations for Primary Care Offices in the Paulding, Douglas & Powder Springs region for Wellstar Medical Group. Nick was called to healthcare, due to his passion of serving others. He truly believes that healthcare is a selfless field where the needs of others are placed at the forefront of the care that he and his teams provide. Nick is a current Ph.D candidate at Liberty University where he is in pursuit of a Ph.D in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership. He hopes to utilize this degree to continue to build his leadership abilities, so he can continue to lead teams of healthcare professionals in their pursuit of serving others. Nick is extremely excited and honored for the opportunity to be able to help serve his community, through participation in CDWTS!

Mallory Whorton was born and raised in Rydal, Georgia. She is currently the School Nutrition Coordinator at Cartersville City Schools, where she gets the opportunity to develop recipes, teach kids and staff cooking skills, and meal plan. Mallory states, "it's a true privilege that I get to wake up to such a rewarding job serving kids high quality meals, especially to those who rely on school meals daily." When Mallory isn't in the kitchen, you can find her at home with her husband of 9 years, Ethan Whorton, and two daughters Norah Jane (7) and Ruby (4). To further her education, Mallory is currently in her second year at UGA pursuing her masters in Community Nutrition. Mallory's passion for serving others overflows into all areas of her life as she serves on the kid's team at Crosspoint City Church-Adairsville. As Mallory's passion is truly for serving the food insecure community, she is excited to help raise money and awareness for the Good Neighbor Shelter and Backpack Buddies.
